    When oil is hot, bolt for oil is hot, its harder to remove, first untighten bolt a little, then warm engine and then loosen bolt.
    Otherwise it may happen that hot bolt, breaks or start sliding when you try to untighten it.
    2:12 - Next time put cooking aluminum foil, over exhaust, to protect it and keep it clean.
    Update:
    I remember one more thing, its ok that you put oil on rubber ring, but the thing is that you are also supposed to fill oil filter, while it is in your hand, to some half, then to screw it manually.
    Reason for doing that is when you first start your bike, you want to AVOID situation that you have dry oil filter, for first second, because of all friction and things happening. So fill your filter manually with oil, before you screw it back to place. Yes it might get messy while screwing back but not much, because filter will get soaked in oil. Anyhow you have aluminum foil on place so all will be clean.

      Ahhhh ok that’s very helpful thank you for that! First time doing an oil change so I had lots to learn. That’s very useful and the foil is a brilliant idea. I did wonder how to do that bit tidily! Now I know. Appreciate your comment.

    El aceite siempre 10w30, la moto funciona mejor, mas fina, se calienta menos, consume menos...el recomendado por el fabricante, para eso los ingenieros hicieron su trabajo, por lo demas muy buen video, saludos

    Any reason/benifit using 10w 40 instead of 10w 30 as in the manual? liked the video by the way.

      @lld-tv  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching. No real reason. Some people end up putting 10w 40 in. It just means it’s a thicker oil when hot. It can make the engine work a little harder but can also lubricate it more. I reckon I may have looked at an older manual when it came to the oil as older bikes did have the 10w40 in it then they changed to the 10w30. Manufacturer recommends 10w30 but it won’t harm it dramatically by using a thicker oil.

      I can top it up later on once it’s fully settled. Only going by the amount in the manual that’s all.
