Railway should provide both side fencing beside the railway track before running high speed train. If you go outside India either tracks are elevated or they are properly fenced.

Stopping the train there itself is risky. There are bastards who may harm the driver and passengers or a group of worthless people fighting for ransome. Tracks are only for trains not animals or humans.

Infact it will an automatic process when a train hit a cattle or human or any vehicle across the track the brake pipes may damage in front of the locomotive, to ensure their safety the running crew should must stop the train and have to check the pipes which loco equipped in front side. After ensuring they all are safe then they proceed with checking air pressure continuity .once LP get clearance from the guard from other end of the train then the train will start again from that spot, until finishing all the process the train will not move ahead from the spot at any circumstances

I feel sorry for the Indian Intelligence which does not realise the collosal or serious damage which can occur to the locos and its equipment apart from major delays and subsequent pile-ups of trains behind each other. And ofc, they forget in extreme cases, a loco can derail and take a train and its pax with it and cause major damage to life n property.
