***** How the fuck is that a waste? I didn't buy it so I could listen to this record. And besides, a better system will make the recording sound better.
I used to see this for sale at thrifty drug store when I was little. I had no money and parents would not get it for me. I always wanted to know what it like. Thanks for sharing.
Those book and records were so nice and scenty, fresh out of the package. They were so colorfully artsy and mentally engaging. They sell phonographs. They could sell book and records for $5. They'd sell like hotcakes, as thee ole saying goes.
Holy s*** ! I remember My uncle buying me this record for my birthday when I was like in first or second grade . We were at Crazy Eddie's record's store and I still didn't realize there was a record in side it. I just thought it was a comic book. I ended up breaking the record. Oh well I still had the comic book😕
I had this one and another one that I can’t remember the name of but I remember there was a line that said “no dough no dogs fork it over...” I thought it was this one but it’s not. Hoping someone may remember
@@saiga5476 the art is the same, it’s just some of the words changed. It’s also got the last page of 170 at the beginning. The book was just reprinted in an Epic Collection last month (and seeing it there gave me the nostalgia that brought me here)
Love this as a kid
I haven't heard this in 35 years....and I remember every single word and sound effect!
2020 and I'm 30 years old hearing this for the first time because someone posted one for sale in a Facebook group. Listened twice it was so nice.
I’m 50, you missed out on a treasure! I’ve downloaded A lot of these from UA-cam & listen to them
@@jacklandaupresents I have a decent little collection of comic books with 45s that play the story. I love them.
I played it a million times as a kid
I just played this for the 1st time in over 20 years! On my $15K hi fi system...My gf thought I was weird...

Wee-oh! I had this record when I was 9 back in 1974.
2:32 "If that means what I think it means, we're in trouble, big trouble"; 6:42 "Something's wrong, I can feel it.";
References of Eminem - Rap God.
thanks!
Love these book and records - - they were a big part of me learning to read as a kid.... and this one was one of my favorites.
Same here
6:42 sounding a bit familiar
I remember reading this as little kid. I was hoping to find the one with Captain America fighting the Phoenix.
I have these in my collection , since I was 7 years old in 1976 . Thanks for letting me reminisce!
Wow, brings back so many memories.
This was my favorite when I was a kid. These are my 2 favorite villains. I really like the eerry music.
Exactly liked the rhino and abomination 😊
I had this. Used to *love*. 1975 or ...6.
1:25 Sounds like Speed Racer, but also very cool comic reading, I wonder how they recorded the sound, and to have it sound so good on here.
Would be nice to see a making of these Power records..
Awesome. I also had this back in 1974 when I was 9 years old. I miss these.
Hulk at bay, curse of tbe werewolf, bat n Robin superman Christmas are my favorite power record albums. Memories
I had this record when I was a kid
Has anyone noticed that one of the voice actors is Peter Fernandez, the voice of Speed Racer?
He's also the narrator.
@@vinylrecord68 yeah...I was thinking the narrator sounded familiar then I realized it was Fernandez using his Racer X voice.
Amazing service you've done. Cheers, mate. Sincerely.
Wow...I had this one too ! Thanks so much for sharing !

The only thing better than a 1970s Hulk "audiobook" is one with "Speed Racer" voices ;)
Omg I used to listen to this all the time. Thanks for uploading!

This is a classic. Thanks for sharing. 😎
I had this comic as a kid...Couldnt tell you what happened to it.
The age of cable TV, VCRs and DVDs, the internet.
Mom probably threw it out😔
Wow thanks!
This used to scare me when I was younger. I don’t know why😂
2:31 6:43 sound familiar?
RAP GOD

12:51 cool
Taken from issue #171.
Rap God brought me here

You're welcome.
👍

Creepy Music!
Lt. voice is same as Speed Racer
Peter Fernandez. He was also the narrator for this story.
Jim Wilson should be in the movies.
This is Hulk 171?
Not exactly. In the comic, for example, Rhino and Abomination were less chummy. But mostly the same.

That was a sucky ending.
I'm here because of Eminem- rap god
Did they use real black actors ? They sound funny.
Nobody cared back then..the good old days
It was a different time.
