You're making me love this instrument more and more! I ran away from it as a kid,but I couldn't stay away. I own 3 and 2 basses right now. I just wish I'd stuck with it! Thanks for the inspiration Kerry!
Thanks so much for these awesome uploads. Your music is dope, and there's not many places on youtube to learn how to play hip-hop/ R&B guitar. You are filling that niche, and doing a great job at doing so. Also just so you know at 8:46 when you go from the A maj7 to the Ab min7 you have the chord chart for Ab maj 7 up instead of Ab min7 (and again a little after that).
Love this stuff. I like to play a lot of metal and hardrock but grew up listening to R&B. Really enjoyed listening to the different chord progressions. The sound, tone is captivating. Thank you!!
Hey there :) Yeahhhh a new video^^ It's a "hello" from France so sorry for my bad english^^ I always watch your video, because thanks to you i opened my horizons with my guitare and in general in music. So thanks for that :D But could you put a tablature for this video pleazzz ? And really thanks again for all your videos and work.
Hey Kerry. That F# minor chord that you played in the last video where you raised the fifth to the minor 6, is that not a Bmadd11? From other places where I've seen that chord, I've heard that the root is on the 4th string, in this case the B under the index. Are you just using it in a different context or am I wrong; it seems to me that the chord can be thought of as either the Bmadd11 or the F#m7 with the minor 6? Or do you even see it as a Bmadd11 with the 5th in the bass?
Great stuff...may I add tho, every other time of the progression I'm hearing a C diminished passing chord between the B and C#minor. Also sounds like they hit a quick Bsus (A over B) at the end of the progression.
Spot on on both that passing chord and bridge progression. You really wanna hammer home that C natural to create that dissonance leading back into the C#m.

If anyone is interested in the bridge...I'm hearing G#m/Cdim/C#min/Bsus. Great tune, great lesson.
