My Glastar weighs about 1200 pounds empty with a tailwheel so most of the weight is on the mains. I may take take two bathroom scales side by side using a little bridge of lumber between them to allow a higher measurement as I expect each main to be about 550 pounds. Then just add them up to get the total for the wheel, there is no need to center the wheel exactly between them. And subtract the wood of course 😀. The opposite main would be raised to level, and the tailwheel should be positioned for level flight during all these measurements of course.😊 Of course by weighing one wheel at a time it’s easier to deal with the “bathroom scale timeout” problem. You just need a way to quickly and safely lower the wheel onto the bridge after turning on the scale. Hmmmm…
