RIP Tipoca city. 2002-2021. It had an amazing theme and is nostalgic to every battlefront 2/lego star wars player. Where the clones were born. Where all of this nosense and amazing war begun. Where heroes like Colt and 99 lost their lifes. Where 5's almost saved the republic, the jedi and even the separatists. It was an honor.
To be fair, Tipoca deserved to be razed to the ground and then some. The Kaminoans were Beskar-grade assholes - but I was still sad to see it go up in flames. That was a really powerful ending scene.
John Williams is such a genius. This piece really shows the mysteriousness of Kamino and really creates an image of waves crashing in the rain. Very epic. Also Hello There.
The second half was composed by Gordy Haab I'm pretty sure, although the main melody is still from Williams. Haab is also known for being one the best at replicating William's sound.
I absolutely love the nods to John Williams' themes in the music of this show. In the previous episode you could hear parts of _The Death Star/Stormtroopers_ from _A New Hope_ play when they discovered the new TK troopers
And now Kamino is gone. The Empire took its remaining clones, its best scientists and then laid waste to Tipoca City and its facilities. The birthplace of the clone army, of Rex, Cody, Fives, Echo, Jesse and all their brothers, is gone.
Well I mean Kamino is still there just no longer important. Just an ocean now but with the scientists of Kamino moved off world to continue their cloning under the Empire I can imagine scavengers, pirates and others rushing to Kamino to salvage technology and parts for either themselves or sale. I’m more curious to see what the Kaminoans under the water would thing seeing Tipoca City sink to the bottom in a broken and charred wreck.
@@RMLK I meant Kamino as a player on the galactic stage. Tipoca City was the primary cloning facility in addition to the capital and Kamino's sole export was its cloning technology. With all of that gone, what remains for the planet's future?
@@samalvey8168 well the Empire got rid of Tipoca but Omega knew of an underwater cloning facility not on the map so I probably feel safe to say there might be a small handful of cloners below the ocean making enough to sustain themselves or they die off due to the lack of capital. I do believe the Kaminoans are perfectly fine, they were very secretive about everything so to them Tipoca City sinking to the dark depths of the ocean may not be all that bad as if they choose so they can be the first to salvage plus who knows what else lies below the water of the planet. I truly wish Bad Batch shows an underwater city much like Naboo where thousands of Kaminoans and maybe even Fett clones defend the Last City. That would be awesome.
What’s even better is that if we get a season 2 and this prediction comes to be true they could train the clones in everything they know and we could have a clone uprising with elite warriors making a final stand.
God, this music... the association with Lego Star Wars aside, it really is a great piece. Having this play as Obi-Wan arrives on Kamino for the first time, is greeted by Taun We in all her unsettling alien creepiness, and then observing this secret clone army that's been constructed for God knows how long without anyone's knowledge, all while those horns blare out those notes as they rise and fall, it all really creates this chilling atmosphere that Obi-Wan has stumbled upon something he wasn't meant to know about. "Magnificent, aren't they?"
@@micahwright5901 I couldn't agree more. It almost feels noir-inspired with the entire Obi-Wan plot thread of the film. From the seedy underworld and dive bars of Coruscant to the shadowy and rainy yet clinically cold Kamino to the mars-like Geonosis and clandestine meetings of the rich and powerful.
I honestly feel like every Star Wars movie except for 4 and 5 got way too much hate for pretty much no reason, I unfortunately know way too many people who hate Return of the Jedi
Right now in the new episodes of The Bad Batch, it's confirmed that not only the Empire destroyed Tipoca City, also destroyed the majority of the kaminoan cities around the planet.
