Funny thing about the matrix. The greenish final look is a mistake that happened during the HD remaster. The original theater release and the new 4k one have a much more subtle green look and it's not in your face like the HD remaster.
An issue with colors , is that you really need to try hard to not make is look sourcy and unmotivated. That gym scene with the red line on the eyes of the character is what i'm talking about. I've been struggling alot with this and i look back on my older work and i see it everywhere

How does one even calculate that color ratio when grading ?
It’s really a rule of thumb I wouldn’t think too hard about it like I said in the video it’s just a guideline that of course you can break. I would just think about it in the sense of using three different color tones and separating them in somewhat 60 30 10 rule
