I can't even explain how exciting Eclipse was for the fandom. Before Kim Lip, there were only a few hundred international LOONA fans on Twitter and Tumblr, and when Eclipse came out, suddenly things blew up. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that she and OEC saved LOONA from obscurity (and I'm not even an OEC stan, I've always been in 1/3's camp).
Loona is incapable of making a bad song. Odd Eye Circle had my fave subunit songs for sure. So glad they are back together.
Loona as a full group is early 4th gen (2018) but the solos started in 2016 so 3rd gen
Vivi is the foreign member
For the universes, there are 3 dimensions in the loonaverse, earth, middle earth and eden
5:59 vivi's mv is the first solo mv in wich other girls appear, that is because vivi didn't debut with her solo, she first appeared in the loona 1/3 subunit and then her sólo was realeased shortly after
(Also the haseul rapped that part but she isn't the official rapper, its actually quite common for there to be versions out there of solos of the loona girls where another comes in and raps a verse )
7:47 as a whole group loona is early 4th generation, but the whole loona 1/3 subunit and i think even odd eye circle debuted when 3rd gen was finishing

Also the representative colors!! It is way much more noticeable with vivi+ odd eye circle bc vivis hair is pink and odd eye circle's colors are everywhere on the mv but for the first 4 girls it might be hard to see it so, so far you've seen:
Heejin: bright pink
Hyunjin: yellow
Haseul: green
Yeojin: orange
Vivi: light pink
Kim lip: red
Jinsoul: blue
Choerry: purple
I love the fact that NASA included “Eclipse” by Kim Lip of LOONA in a Solar Eclipse playlist that happened a few years ago
They are technically early 4th gen since the whole group debuted in 2018, but pretty much everyone counts them as 3rd gen since their solos and subunits started coming out in 2016.
I have to say (aside from Chuu's because that is my absolute favourite) OEC's solos just...hit different. I mean, all Loona's solos are brilliant, but I'm probably a bit biased 😂 I still listen to Love Cherry Motion all the time
I wouldn't bother getting too worried about the lore/symbolic stuff unless you are going to commit to a deep dive because there is a LOT and it's pretty confusing 😂

When I first watched Love Cherry Motion, I was actually so shocked!
My first loona song was eclipse and I discovered it in 2018. & omg my life has changed for the better after that
WHAT a song to discover them on! It was one of my favorite solo songs!
Im just full of loona facts so ill leave some here The representative animals of the first four girls are easy to figure out bc they're prominent in their mv's heejin and the rabbits, hyunjin and the cats and the cat head, haseul and the white bird, and yeojin and the frog..........but for vivi + odd eye circle its harder to spot sinply based on their mvs:

10:50 kim lips representatives animal is the owl, as you noticed at this second you can see an owl's eye
Jinsouls its actually kinda prominent in the mv, its the blue betta
21:06 choerry's representative animal is the fruit bat (bc of this EVERY time there is someone upside down it is choerry, this doesn’t mena that choerry is always upside down in mvs but if in an mv someone is upside down its always choerry)
Also here we are introduced to representative fruits (the other members dont have representative fruits but from choerry on out the rest do have representative fruits) choerry's is the cherry

vivi is the foreign member! she's from hong kong. she was a model under the name "viian", and her stage name comes from that~ i believe shes friends with handong from dc, too
the rap in eily is haseul~ (heejin, hyunjin and yeojin are also there in the video). in einy(the bside to eily is a slower more laid back ver of eily, its the same song), jinsoul does the rap part, it's how she was announced as a coming member~
they dont have "a" rapper, any of them could have gotten the rap parts in songs in theory. haseul was gonna be an opera singer, yet they had her do the rap for vivi's song. anything goes(in theory) :b
the msg at the end on the motorola, "내일 또 올게" is "i'll come again tomorrow" ~ it makes it look like it was her dream abt her crush, but then it wasnt!! wow!!
the bside for eclipse is one of my favorite loona bsides, its SO good. eclipse itself was on like nasa's spotify playlist. fun fact!
the vast difference in sounds for the solos really shows versatily within the group(and the producer...), its super attention-catching, and it was on purpose too~
im glad you like jinsoul's tone, you'll be able to hear it a nice amount~ shes a fantastic vocalist and very silly too. and shes one of the eldest members(97line is ha-soul-ves, vivi is the eldest and shes a 96)
the fish! she's the fish (metaphorically)! it's a betta, one of those that if you put among others it'll eat everyone else~
choerry's stage name is a contraction of her real name. 최예림(choi-ye-rim) -> 최리(chwe-ri), you can say it very close to the fruit cherry tho. the girls often just refer to each other by their real names too, if you prefer saying yerim instead
girls in lcm are haseul and yeojin, and then the blondes are lip soul
for the skz enjoyers in the comments you should recognize the location of eclipse(i believe its a popular location but thats the only one i ever remember), and onces should recognize one of the locations in lcm~

Glad to see you pointed out Vivi's vocals, unfortunately, we were starved for more until the new Loossemble group formed.
You also mentioned the owl in Eclipse. Every member has a representative animal. Those animals make appearances in their MVs often subtly, sometimes more openly.
Representative animals for the members to date:
HeeJin -- rabbit They're scattered throughout Vivid.
HyunJin -- cat. Several cats are seen in Around You.
HaSeul -- white bird One appears near the end of Let Me In.
YeoJin -- frog The Frog Prince is a big character in Kiss Later.
Vivi (Wong Kahei) -- deer This one is easily missable. There's a figurine of a deer on the counter in Everyday I Love You.
Kim Lip (Kim Jungeun) -- owl You spotted that one.
Jinsoul (Jeong JinSol) -- blue betta fish. Jinsoul is carrying one at different points in Singing In The Rain.
Choerry (Choi Yerim) -- fruit bat A blink and you miss it silhouette in Love Cherry Motion.

You might be asking "odd eye circle's world?" Yes indeed, the loonaverse occurs in 3 worlds, the normal world where loona 1/3 + yeojin live, the middle world where odd eye circle live, and eden where yyxy lives.........
I can't wait for you to get to Olivia Hye (my bias, now she's going by HyeJu) and Chuu. Chuu's is my favorite solo cuz it's just too cute! :D
I'm so happy you're checking out Loona, but I also feel like you're gonna need to deep dive them, there's a ton of lore and on top of their solos, several albums

The Lore became really strong after OEC debuted, the colors really started to matter, and then the intertwining of previous members and future members reached a new level. In terms of Loonaverse, it's because the OEC are the "mediators" as in they connect the Loona1/3 with YYXY. Lore aside, the OEC are crucial in Loona's discography because they introduced the "sexy" vibe and later they are the main vocals in most of Loona's songs.
Always see a reaction to Love Cherry Motion is a experience XD, LCM was my favorite song until Hyeju's egoist came out (Olivia hye before). Haseul and Yeojin are the girls at the beginning and next Kim Lip and Jinsoul (witch Choerry are OddEyeCircle subunit)
Eclipse is one of the 3 solo songs in my playlist, with ViViD and Egoist. Great song!

Love Cherry Motion is my fav MV to see people react to. You're not too far off with your observations. I recommend, after you watch the group MVs, to watch a video known as "Avengers of Kpop" kinda out dated, like 4 years ago and only covers up to their first comeback. But is still a decent good quick summary of Loona!!
