    Great method, many thanks for sharing the Eavesline gutters I am replacing. Saved my hair, no more head scratching. Haha!

    Bloody brilliant DP. Thanks for taking the time to show the detail and progress for each step. I'd be balls deep at Bunnings on the Amex on guttering if I hadn't seen this!

    Hello Dennis, Metroll in Kewdale provides free mitre template for Eavesline gutters when I bought more gutters last week. I still refer to your valuable video on how to put the mitres together. Many thanks again. You have good Karma.

    Very helpful! Thank you.
    Do you know what brand/type of gutter this is? Looks the same as what I have.

      @dennisperrie thanks. Thoughts on cmi streamline or fielders longline? I've got both on my house.

      @@ShredTHATwave I think they are both good products. I use both however i use CMI more because they are my main supplier. Fielders are my secondary supplier but I do use fielders more for facia.

    Are the pre-mitred joints faster? They are quite pricey. Also how do you set the drop on WA style rebated facias, without leaving a gap between the gutter and the facia?

    • @dennisperrie
      @dennisperrie  4 місяці тому

      The Pre=mitre are not faster but they are easier for beginners. They do add more joints and more places to leak. For the facia the answer is the gutter is set to the facia. this means if the facia is out the gutter is out and you will have to to leave a gap if you want to adjust the gutter.

    No that is not how you do it but I never seen gutters with holes in them but the band goes in the inside of the gutter you do not put a hole in the bottom of the gutter just and the face and back and top with pop rivets or zip screws and geoseal caulking

      I am not sure where you are but in Western Australia that is the way to do it. I have seen some roof plumbers put the tag on the inside. personally, I don't like it because the rivets stand out and the seal on the inside isn't as neat. the rivet in the bottom is necessary because with the temperatures here expansion and contraction will split the seal on the bottom without a mechanical fixing. When you seal the mitre, you seal the rivet so there is no problem with it. The fixing in the back is the same as the snip over. you can do it either way. Your preference.
