No that’s absurd ! You can’t tell kids what to do outside of school & you will see when they have no athletics or anyone participating in there sports ! & weed is legal ! Most job don’t even test for weedd
Maybe not outside of school but when you show up trashed or doped up to play football/cheer/etc you’re affecting everyone. I also like that if someone tests positive that help is offered to them if they have addiction issues that might not have been acknowledged otherwise. - Strongsville mom
That's not true at all. Schools have been kicking kids out of sports, band, clubs for decades if you get caught/arrested outside school. My friend got caught drinking in 9th grade back in 2001 at a house party, star running back, got kicked off the team for that year. Ohio school, right next to Strongsville. This ain't nothing new cat lady.
@KettleBell-md8ph I lived in brunswick for years - I agree. If they can test you at work - why not test them during school. I think all high schools should do it - that includes steroids for sports!

This situation is kinda a double edged sword in a way. If you’re so- called Angles doesn’t do Drugs then you got nothing to worry about. School just trying to make sure they don’t have ODs on School property. Drugs aren’t like back in the day. They are advancing more deadly. Having Back to Back ODs of Students Makes the School look bad. Then Parents would be Mad why the School isn’t doing something about it.
This I truly insane. This really is a situation of corruption. If this was truly about keeping kids safe, these schools would easily just use the school nurse’s to do drug testing but instead what’s likely happening is these schools are funneling public tax payer money to private businesses thru a loophole. Biomedical isn’t doing this for free. As someone who lives in Strongsville where crime a extremely low, I don’t understand why drug testing children is necessary especially when athletic departments were already doing random drug tests already
If you are going to test the students, then you need to drug test the teachers, principles, and the rest of the administration.
So, the teachers and staff will also be tested? If not why not? They work around children.
These parents wonder why their kids hate them and don't trust them.

Wasted tax payer dollars our schools do everything but educate our kids
