Well there’s ten minutes of my life I’ll never see again. The cam car was so engrossed in filming the van that at times he forgot he was in the third lane of the motorway without moving back across.
Well I’ve seen quite a few of these videos and have come to the conclusion that many people who post these videos need to work on their own driving before criticising other drivers. Have a nice day! 🙂
If I saw that van indicating, I'd just let him in because if there's cars in front and behind me, he's either pushing in here or somewhere else, it'd make no difference. Why risk winding someone up or swerving into you out of anger when you could just be a nice person and do your good deed for the day
Hi Keith, If you look again, I didn't speed up to close the gap, rather the vehicle in front slowed. You will see I had left a gap a moment earlier which, had he indicated, would have been the time to move over. I hit my horn because he would have hit my front wing if I hadn't moved left. The rest of the video shows the type of driver this is and tells its own story. Thanks.
Almost looks like the judiciary system may have to add driving lessons to the penalties of bad drivers. 6 months of driving school before they get their license back. Might work, might not.
Hi Stephen, If you mean to go right at the sideway roundabout to junction 16 rather than left to junction 15, I let the satnav decide. Android Auto is good at calculating the fastest route depending on traffic. J15 is 10 miles further but the A500 past Newcastle Etc. can be very slow. Thanks for commenting... again.
Definitely aggressive and rather dangerous driving, most of which could be explained by heavy traffic, lane hoggers, and the impatience of the van driver, who may be distracted by something. The lane wandering is definitely a bit of a worry, had a police traffic car seen this he would have been pulled over I feel sure. Rear fog lights? - it was pretty misty, but I don't think bad enough for them to be on.
I think some drivers (Including my wife) don't know where the fog light switches are so don't know they have turned them on or how to turn them off. Still bad though. Thanks for commenting.
Do you know what gets me most everytime I see things like this? They drive like complete assholes, swerving lane to lane, cutting people up, undertaking etc and yet they only get about 2 or 3 seconds in front. What's the point? Hope you gave footage to police.
@@Edvard.Munchkin Hi Daniel, I did look on the Staff's police web site but the process is very complex. Still considering it though. Thanks for commenting!
They were only TRYING to get somewhere faster. They gained only worse MPG and increased wear on the van. I would have slowed to put a couple of miles between me and this maniac.
@@jamesbullen5952 Hi James, You will notice that I didn't try to pass him again and stayed well back. I expected he would try to ram me again if I was alongside. Thanks for commenting
What ??? - you seem to be so egrossed in criticising someone else that you don't notice your own bad driving !!! You should always drive on the left except when overtaking and then move left again. YOU should have been in the left lane (which was empty) in approaching the first roundabout. YOU stayed in the wrong lane a lot of the time and did not move over to the left when you should have. You criticised the van for "not staying in lane" when he was driving correctly and moving to the left aver overtaking. He was not nearly so bad as you make out - YES, he did do some bad things, especially cutting in - though the camera angle would not have shown the actual gap involved and it may have been a lot larger (and safer) than the video implies. The Highway Code says you *can* undertake if your lane is moving faster than the one outside. So, although he did do some pretty bad driving moves, they were not as bad as you make out - and you did quite a few bad driving mives yourself.
Hi John, Take a look again at the beginning of the video and you will see I was in the ONLY lane for the M6, the left, empty, lane goes to Campbell Road ONLY. I don't think the undertake of the ambulance could be considered acceptable as were many of the other moves. Thanks for commenting
A lot of drivers seem to be precious about a small stretch of road in front of them that fairly soon their vehicle will occupy. The tooting was unnecessary. The cam car was closing on the van in front when I would have expected some slowing down to occur. Had that happened, regardless of the grey van driver's poor driving, the van could have been allowed to filter across without inconveniencing the cam car too much. Quite a bit of 'revenge' tooting can be avoided. Scratch your nose end or ear lightly and allow the errant driver to get on with his or her journey and cause someone else some red mist. I am curious as to the reason for the cam car to keep up with the grey van, other than red mist. So, the driving continued until the Liverpool exit. In the meantime, I note that when the cam car speed reaches 70mph the video is edited. Other comments here do not fully support the actions and, at times, the road positioning of the cam car.
Hello W Green, I didn't chase the grey van, just flowed with the rest of the traffic. Using my horn to warn others of my presence is exactly what it should be used for. I didn't keep 'Tooting' after the event - no revenge. Thanks for commenting.

Lots of poor driving in this video. The flatbed should have moved left at 3:03. You go past him at 3:24 and he is still in the middle lane. At 3:26 you should have moved left but didn't. You wouldn't have need to move to lane 3 until 3:48, a full 22 seconds later. Again past the lorry at 4:19, what's wrong with lane one!? By the time you catch the lorry and white estate 25 second have passed. Plenty more later in the video. So back to the van. There was some really poor driving from him. But on the other hand some great correct driving and always using his indicators. There is always the argument that if notice you are getting undertaken on the motorway it's because you are in the wrong lane! Also do you filter out your indicator sounds or do you not use them as you never hear them in the video, but you can hear things like when you pass over cats eyes, so the camera sound is pretty sensitive.
Sorry gavjlewis but you seem to over analyse my driving while watching, what the rest of the community seem to see, as some very bad driving by the grey van. I agree that staying left is correct but, if you see a HGV limited to 57MPH ahead, there is no sense in changing lanes to have to change lanes 20 seconds later. Thank you for taking time to comment and I hope you enjoyed my video.
I don’t understand. The left lane should be used when not overtaking, but if in traffic you are travelling with the flow in front of you, why would you move over. Just making things more dangerous.
I was taught on the Advanced Drivers Course not to continuously change lanes unless someone is approaching from the rear, then in good time you move over to the left and stay there until you wish to overtake a vehicle in that lane. All the stuff the grey van was doing was typical CHAV driving and a transport managers nightmare.
The van is not staying in an overtaking lane..so I can't see your problem..ìf he choped lanes but stayed in lane 2 I would be miffed..but he didn't..so basically.
