I couldn't agree more with the "orange" stained pine look, every time I've found it I've sanded it back & bees waxed it, lovely bench, a good few tips in this build much appreciated & great work as always!
Thanks mate. Yeah, pines not an unattractive wood really - if you avoid oils and stains! Keith's new clear wax is ideal for it. 👍
Always really enjoy your build videos, and this one turned out great. And I wish I had the router skill that you have!! Thanks for using my wax I'm glad you like it!
Appreciate that, thanks Keith. My build videos always do so poorly unfortunately. They actually lose me subs n'all! 🤷♂️ First impressions of the clear wax are it's brilliant mate. Love it. Honestly, great job on that. I can remember the days routers used to make me panic. Now, aside from the bloody vacuum, they're my most used tool!👍
What a superb piece of work, that surpasses the typical functional build of most workshops. Thanks for showing this.
Thanks Paul. I'm no stranger to purely functional lash ups for the workshop. Just fancied making myself something a bit "extra". 😁
Absolutely gorgeous! Fantastic job fella
Appreciated, thank you mate.👍
So well crafted, a thing of beauty indeed.
Thank you!😁
Wonderful to see this - art meets craft and a testament to your skills - and vision.
Very kind. Thanks Norman.
Lovely looking bench, almost too pretty to use!
Cheers Paul. Almost😁 Already in use though bud. Covered in saw dust and filled with junk and tools!
For something that was just in your head like I do a lot of the time turned out amazing I really enjoyed this two part build so thanks for bringing as along for the ride
Thanks Bradley. My pleasure. Yeah, I work from CAD so often it's nice to just work free sometimes.👍
Thanks! Great video love the bench
Very kind. Many thanks kyle.🙌
Thank you for a really interesting build video and what a wonderful piece of workshop furniture you have created!
Cheers, glad you liked it.
I need that over router in my life! Nice build that mate, looks sweet to!!!
🙏 Cheers mate. Yeah, my router machine thing is hella useful. And I can hang it on the wall when I'm done!
Very nice woodwork, sound very solid.
Thanks Henry. Yeah, nice and solid. Will outlast me I should think.👍
Very nice ! Love the overkill 😋
😁 Thanks! Sometimes we've just gotta tell ourselves we're worth it.😉
Oh yes..... Real nice...
Thank you mate 👍
Awesome video!!
Thanks Sam!👍
Nice unit
Cheers 👍
It is perfect for craft demonstration's
Mate, that's such a good idea for a bench like this! It's mobile and will fit through a standard door. Nice one. 👍
'Tis a thing of beauty...pleasing to the eye and beautifully made. Definitely overkill for a work bench, but you've got the skill and imagination, so why not make it a head-turner? The only reason my benches are simple affairs made of 4x2 CLS and mdf, is that I'm tight with money, and I know damned well that if I built something a bit special, I would saw it in half by mistake, the very first time I used it!
😂 I know what you're saying. Got 2 other benches for sawing though. This one's just for detail work. Hasn't stopped me already covering it in sawdust and filling it with junk already mind!🤦♂️
Thanks for the video and your effort. Enjoy a beer on me 😄
🙏 Thank you Karsten! Very kind.
Love the router jig, looks so versatile.
I've no problem with cnc machines or festool domino's but they have definitely reduced the amount of creative router machines like yours people build.
Dunno why cascomite is not used that much, it's a great glue.
Cheers mate. Yeah, the routing machines awesome. Really helped me realise my designs. Safe to use too! I suppose you could say dominoes and cnc's have opened up new avenues of creativity for some. I wouldn't say no to having them around one day. They're just way, way down my list. To be honest, been maybe 20 years since I last used cascamite. I'm still running through glue options for my furniture so picked some up to test against my other contenders. I like it though. I think a lot of woodworkers would like it if they tried it.👍
That's to good to use ,move it into your lounge and call it a coffee table .
😂 Cheers Nicholas. Funny enough, a neighbour was looking at it recently. Asked if I could make one (without the vise) as a kitchen island🤷♂️
