Gotta love sharp foggy photos :) Thanks for taking us along!
Excellent images, very ethereal
Thanks again Steve, another great video!!
We were at the park for a week starting October 4. The fog certainly provided an opportunity for capturing the animals in a mystical setting!
Excellent Masterclass in an impromtu shooting situation - I was watching your fingers closely!
As usual, great video Steve...what an awesome morning!
Thanks 👍
Amazing.....
Awesome morning, Steve! Thanks for bringing us along!
Thanks for watching 👍
Amazing video. Experienced similar conditions when visiting the Karoo National Park in South Africa. Would love to visit the park one day
Awesome video Steve! Thanks for sharing. I am envious of the magical place that you live. The images are great and show the elk in their natural environment. The fog adds a level of mystique to the image.
Glad you enjoyed it
i would give a LOT for just one of your goddamned photos! and sweeet hat!
Thanks?
Awesome shots!
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the ride! Life at f2.8, incredible!
Love this stuff. One of your best vids was catching their breath in photo!
Thank you!
Great video Steve. The elk standing near the Aspen was my favorite. I've been shopping for a bean bag and yours caught my eye. Would you share with us who makes it? Thanks!
Thanks!
You can find the beanbag on my gear page:

Very nice - I'm envious. Out here in non-national park-land if you see a nice bull like that it's only split seconds to get a shot and that's usually of his rear going into the timber. Perfect conditions and nice images Steve!
What dreamy conditions! So very cool!! Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!
Wonderful shots Steve. The mist and fog only amplifies the mood. Well done.
Many thanks!
Great video, Steve! Looking forward to fall images.
Thanks!
Your videos are awesome! Good inspiration for people looking to do the same type of adventures.
I appreciate that!
Thanks for doing what you do. I know it is time consuming and I appreciate that.😁❤🙏
👍
Beautiful shots Steve. Going to have to check those hats out.
Thanks! And please do👍
Great vid of a beautiful morning!! Really like your images as well👍👍
Thanks 👍
We were there the first week of October. Didn't see any elk, but we're fortunate enough to see Blondie with her two cubs. Special day!
No doubt 👍
Thank you for sharing that, usually when I see fog I say, nope no shooting today but you gave me with your excitement and passion a different POV about it. Perhaps I will rethink my attitude towards it. But very fun video.
Yep, have fun out there 👍
The elk are in rut here in NW Arkansas on the Buffalo River. People get some really good pictures.
👍
wow terrific outing and images. gotta to love f/2.8.....at 6.3 Shutter speed would have to b way slow and ISO 2x of what you showed. Glad I have two kidneys........one should be just fine.
Yep, 2.8 is perfect for those early mornings...
I really want to have that beast 400mm f2.8 with tc 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
It's so great!
Hi Steve, another great video ! That door bean bag looks great, can I ask the make, thank you from UK
I really liked the window bag you used here. I’m 75 and have had back surgery, so I’m taking most of my images from the car like you did. Where can I get that bag. I did a quick search and didn’t find it. Thank you in advance, David
If you click on the video description, there is a link to the gear he uses and it's described there. I think the cheaper one I bought was from Adorama.
Hi Steve, love the foggyness. What bean bag are you using? Thanks!
It's listed on my gear page here:

What device is on your hotshoe? Thanks, I can see now after I get further into the video and you stood it up.
What is the brand and model of the foot on your lens?
Steve, if I may ask who makes your camera window bag? Thank you.

Great video as usual. Trying to decide on either the 400 f/2.8 or 600 f/4. Both seem to be amazing but can only afford one. Mostly shoot raptors and mammals. Do you find the 400 f/2.8 falls short on distance at times and/or how is the sharpness with the 2x if you have shot it like that? Any additional info you would be willing to share would be greatly appreciated and can't wait to get back to the Tetons!
I chose the 400 with built in teleconverter. It works great with the 2x as well.
