did you somehow rip the assets and information from KH2 and translated it into KH3 and its 1:1 or did you like, more craftfully put all of this together more manually, like raw? I guess a more simple question is. How did you go about this? in laymans terms.
This might be the best full KH2 moveset mod for KH3 that I've seen. Imported animations and attacks directly from KH2, plus you even added falling to finishers to get rid of floatiness and even made some of the animations shorter than KH2's. Hat's off for this wonderful mod
Man, if only the devs would've focused on bringing the limit forms instead of creating the attractions, thank god for the modding community, guess Im rebuying KH3 once it comes out on Steam. Pretty good showcase!
You are doing gods work. This is what every fan wanted to see in the base game but they only added a watered down version. So happy to see people are modding KH 2 drive forms into KH 3
@@collapsedlung_ Dude, when Sora was using his second finisher in a air combo and it made him go forward and not lose any momenturm it felt so good. You had to take in account the repositioning.
We’ll see if Osaka CBU3 devs ever decide to listen to fans about this… h.a.n.d. devs mastered the physics system for Days and Re:Coded; Osaka games (BBS, DDD, KH3) have always floated for some reason. You can tell they tuned the floats down a bit for KH3 compared to BBS and DDD; so it’s obvious they understand we don’t like it… but they kept it a little floaty still in KH3, almost seemingly to prove some kind of point. The only KH4 trailer we’ve seen looks like it might float too… I really hope they decide to just do the physics and animations right rather than ruin KH4 over something so easily fixable that modders are literally doing for free.
Ngl, this is what I wanted KH3 to be. None of that weird keyblade transforming and attraction attacks stuff. The perfect combat system would've been a combination of KH2 and BBS, with a special deck for special moves and Drive Forms having preset decks that fit the drive form in use.

@@yderga8707I agree. I don’t like the art direction in KH3… it loses that “Old-School Disney Cartoon” charm of the models that make them look like the cartoon characters from the shows pop out in 3D. With a blend of Square/Final Fantasy flair mixed in. Now they mostly lost it in my eyes.

As time progresses more companies are turning their old well designed IPs into generic looking hyper realistic styles that lose all sense of character or individuality. If you compare to the diversity in design and art direction in the early 2000s compared to now you'll see how everything coming from major companies are starting to look the same.
@@yderga8707 Yup. Which confuses me when people say KH3 is the best looking game in the series, and sure when you see the details of the world around you, but I thought it was ugly. It lost that appeal with the cartoonish designs that made it stand out compared to other games. When you look at character models you can tell what series they’re from based on their unique look in the 2000’s. Now everything has that same “hyper realistic” look as you said and doesn’t feel the same. Heck that’s why I’m not interested in KH4… it doesn’t look like the same series anymore and Sora looks too different now. I’ll wait for more news but to me KH2FM is just the peak of character designs.

But you're right from a cosmetic standpoint it's unrecognizable, I'm hoping the KH4 design is just for Quadratum, and the normal KH worlds still have stylization to them. Also keeping in mind that KH3 was remade on multiple engines during production, looking at the character models and animations its clear that the team didn't know how to animate them properly. During fight sequences it looked great but during normal "standing around talking" cutscenes the characters looked awkward.

I’ve downloaded what mods I could from this list because some of the wisdom stuff is no longer available. I cannot get Valor form working and I hope it’s not something I can fix
this seems like fresh out of the oven dinner form a restourant like its good, but it shows that there is ways to improve animations looks stiff , accurate but with less frames of connection, traces looks fine but doesnt seems to have any impact nor flare to go along with but what do i expect, its not like this has been doen with 1000s of programmers with years of experiment rather one guy in his apartment just wanted to add something he finds cool in a video game he likes im not expecting to be given the luxury of a 5* restourant, nice job

A lot of these animations actually are not in KH3. Some of them are a part of some moves in some Keyblade transformations, but those have been reorderd, mixed, modified, added on top of other animations etc, which is already more than enough of a reason for the mod to exist, but there are completely new ones that the modder added, which justifies it even more.
This is really amazing. Still don’t like KH3 that much even though I love the Air Step, Blocking in the air, and Shotlock. Man I wish Osaka Team looked and played KH2FM to get a feel for the combat and do their best to replicate it in 3. I’m waiting for a Steam version of the KH collection, but if none it’s ok. I’ll just watch these videos.
As cool as it is, and it's really really cool, the problem of KH3 at least for me it's not the combat. The game lets you play as you like in fact I basically never used summons or attractions and alla that sh!t but it really lacks in atmosphere, in music, in story and in worlds design. This game in basically garbage. And it's really hard to admit cuz I'm the type of fan who cries for Riku reunion, for Roxas ending and for Aqua/Ansem BBS true ending. Those are peaks that will never be reached again unfortunately... Never the less your work is truly awesome! Kudos to ya!
I agree. Unfortunately now we'll never get the ending of the Xehanort Saga that we truly deserve. All we can do is be hopeful for the writing and story moving forward, at least we have all the characters back so we still have opportunity to get those character interactions we were deprived of in 3. Nomura admitted that KH3 was more or less a means to an end and he wanted to passionately get to the next part of the story. And if the story of Union Cross is going to be the standard moving forward, im very hopeful as it seems KH is moving in a darker and more mature direction.

It feels weird seeing the Master Form combo keep you so close to the ground. That'd be the only thing that really looks off to me.

The fight with Saix makes me wish there was a Kingdom Hearts 2 remake in Unreal Engine 4!
Honestly I prefer the engine they used to make the remasters. There's something about the new character models and proportions that lose it for me.
