You can tell he has no remorse or guilt towards his wife. When I saw the video Paul took right before the murders it made me cry because they really had no idea Alex would kill them and imagining them all together laughing and being a family when all of the sudden Alex starts shooting, and what they just have thought or felt when they realized what was happening is absolutely devastating.

@@kiki1266 What? That makes zero sense... There is literally example after example of cases that people are heavily invested in, and are still confused by these acts- because most of us would never do something like this, we can't simply brush it off with, "ah yes, but Chris Watts did it, Todt did it, Scott Peterson did it, so I'm not surprised Alex Murdaugh did it too- come on it's normal because it has happened before"... People will always be invested in cases like this, and display confusion and shock, because it is an anomaly, statistically speaking amongst humans and human behaviour in general, and does cause such confusion and turmoil for the 99% because it is so hard to conceive why someone would do this- regardless of the fact that they are not the first and only person to do so...

Nobody should be interested in this case, or show any surprise because this kind of thing has happened before. Can't we all just accept this as normal, and give it no time or attention please."

I thought from the start that a man used to control, literally even above the law, having all of that crashing down needed *SOMETHING* to be in his control. And that played out by him killing his own family.

As a recovering addict, hearing that Alex used 2000mg of Oxycodone a day was frightening to me. That's insane, I did the math and it's $14,000 a week, $56,000 a month. Given his high doses and the length of time he was using, I don't even want to imagine how horrible his withdrawal would've been in jail. It was probably hell on earth. I'm assuming he had to withdraw in jail, he wasn't going to get a prescription and he wasn't going to get away with smuggling enough into jail to sustain himself. Money really is the worst thing an addict can have - it always ends up with them losing everything, and often their life as well.
