    pheasant hunting with an old a5 over a springer spaniel. i dont think theres a more iconic duo.
    love the way your dog works. very methodical. you guys clearly make a great team.

      Thanks, we sure have fun together. It's pretty obvious I don't train to a very high level, but he seems to understand pheasant hunting just fine.

      @@lilbrowhydaw you have birds in the bag and it looks like you both had fun. certainly seems like your training level is fine to me.

    Nice job. Lucas did well also. I drove over to Charles Mix county area and was done in one hour. Walk in picked corn adjacent. Saw several birds and was wonderful. Some great points with one double flush- two big roosters. Lucky enough to hunt private land next two days. Farmers here said count they see reminds them on 2007.
    😊 be safe sir!

    Great video as always! Curious as to which camera you’re using and your preferred settings. Seems to be a nice and stable presentation.

    Are you still using the Boss 16 ga shells since they lowered the velocity?

    • @lilbrowhydaw
      @lilbrowhydaw  3 місяці тому

      Gol darn, I'd responded to this once already & it disappeared. Don't even think I used bad words. But yes, I'm using Boss, & I have a case of the new 1-1/8 oz, 1240 fps loads, but I'm still using up my 1 oz, 1350 fps shells. Really looking forward to trying the new ones. The decrease in velocity really only decreases effective pellet range by about 3 yds w/ #4's. Little disappointing that the new pellets are actually bigger than #4, so the increase in pellet count isn't quite what I'd hoped for. Not a big deal though. That'll probably vary depending on when they buy their bismuth. The 1350 loads want FULL choke in my Sweet 16. I'm hoping the slower ones will like MOD better, allowing me to use MOD w/ lead again when lead's legal. I'm the type that refuses to change chokes when I switch between bismuth & lead.

      @@lilbrowhydaw thanks for the response. I had 1box of the 1350 left and I did buy some 3/5 of the new load.

    • @lilbrowhydaw
      @lilbrowhydaw  3 місяці тому +1

      @@italianbrair63 I'd be curious on those 3/5's. Use what works for you, but I have to say I don't understand the theory behind them. I don't know why I'd want a load with some pellets that lose steam almost 20 yards before the others do. Don't get it, but if it works for people, great.

    3 days , 800 miles. I will be in the field looking for the only good ting we got from China, ringneck pheasant.
