I agree with ChesapeakeChris. That first one definitely looks like a spotted bass. Exceptional pattern on it! Nice creek. The water is so clear! The rock bass are hungry! Nice video my friend.
Do you all have spotted bass there? That first one looked like a spotted bass. Don't think they get a big as LM bass, if you catch a spotted, 14" or bigger, that's a really nice fish. Can't believe you were catching rockbass on a whacky rig, those were some nice size, hungry fish. Surprised no smallmouths from that hole. When I fished creeks in PA, often found smallies & rockbass together. Challenge accepted & completed 🎣
@@ChesapeakeChris I’m not sure if there are spotted bass here or not. I’m not sure how to tell them apart. I was surprised also not catching any small mouth in that hole.
@@riverratfishing The 2 easiest ways I know are spotted bass mouths don't extend past their eye...largemouth bass mouths do. And largemouth bass have a smooth tongue, spotted bass have a rough tongue. I've actually saw guys stick their index finger in the mouth & rub the tongue to tell.
I was mostly using a wacky rig. It was the 3” Yum Dinger. The wacky rig works great everywhere. Hopefully that was the one you were asking about. Good luck. Tight Lines.
@riverratfishing Yes thank you for the reply. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I've tried that rig. In ponds and lakes around my area, i've never had success any tips. I live in fish in maryland
@@kent7525 it could come down to color. I fish in one pond with Green Pumpkin and the other pond will hit a black and not touch Green Pumpkin. Hope you find something that works.
Nice job! I believe you met the challenge 👍
@@billreddochoutdoors5968 I think next time I’ll put a number, or type of fish on the challenge.
