4 arven prized is a 1 in 32510 or 0.003 percent probability. Even higher than the caster thought. We witnessed a very very unlikely scenario and it was on stream making it even more unlikely.
5:32:37 Jared accidentally flips over a card -> 5:40:37 Jared lays out his prizes after the head judge ruling. Eight minutes of judge discussion just to shuffle up and deal out new prize cards is a ridiculous waste of everyone's time. It was very obviously an accident, didn't reveal a noteworthy card, and it was after the first game anyway. If Michael was ok with letting Jared reshuffle and deal out new prizes, which is how it seems to me from their body language, then just let them play and get on with the round
incredibly late reply, but the stream judges are floor judges, not an assistant head judge (AHJ) or the head judge (HJ). those people are on the floor busy with other calls, so they can't stand in on stream all the time. When errors happen that would require a DPC penalty or higher, or would be de-escalated like Jared's was, we need to communicate the error with an AHJ before proceeding with the penalty. This is just to ensure that penalties are given consistently and fairly throughout an event, with the input of highly experienced judges. The third judge that you saw was an AHJ or HJ who was called in to discuss the ruling because revealing cards is normally a DPC penalty, and in this case it was determined to deescalate the penalty based on a few unique factors. It may seem silly that an accident like that would require an AHJ, but we have to follow the proper chain of command for *any* de-escalation, and this is done for the sake of the players. The stream judges are able to give warnings without an AHJ, but the main reason they're present is to watch the game state and help prevent certain errors before they happen, as well as track in-game actions and keep an eye on the pace of play.
Guys does anyone know youtuber like wolfe glick but for tcg ( should be entertaining to watch) , i really want to see tcg stream but i never understood how the game works.
fr I was tearing my eyes out all match, when I saw him detach 2 for raichu forgetting that zapdos makes 1 energy hit for 70 it was heartbreaking, maybe feature match nerves/pressure messed him up
This comment gonna get the hammer from TPCI but the EU casting crew doesnt seem to keep up with the game meta at all. Suggesting that a deck is playing a card that has rotated out should be a big nono and they're making outdated observations. If your gonna get paid to cast the least you can do is prep for the event's meta. Fluttermane is literally in the lugia list as a tech for LB and the casters are saying it just happens to be in there an is stopping LB. I know casting is hard and all but if your getting paid for a job you should at least do your prep and research to be ready to do that job at the end of the day.
They don't get paid actually they get compensation. Also it's not uncommon for casters to make small slip ups as long as they correct. Like final match they showed greninja ex instead of radiant. Things happen we as players know what is meant or it's fixed
Also eu doesn't get as much support. It's just this year they started to a major amount of streaming, it use to be handled by limitless iirc. So announcers are kinda finding there place among long standing casters
This is why people are turning away from Pokémon all these stall cards and can’t be damaged by ex or v bs like whose gonna have that many basics with out effs to attack sad sad time for Pokémon

why have 2 judges at the main table when they need to call in a 3rd judge just for an accidentally revealed card..

The odds of that are actually higher than they were saying it’s closer to 1:30000 games for that to happen.
