One of the best moves the Magic made in its history was getting T-Mac. I lived in Orlando through his time there. The things this guy would do every night was crazy. There was a point where he could play Kobe to a standstill. He could score on anybody in a multitude of ways. I just wish that injuries hadn't cut his career off at the knees, because he was one of those players that you just had to watch, no matter what team he was playing for.

X02Overdose Fuck Doc Rivers. But then again, I am sad and happy at the same time that didn't happened. Sad, because T-Mac didn't get to play with Tim during his prime, and happy because Tim got to stay with the Spurs and won 3 more championships.

But the Spurs hit all their free throws and they didn't fail to make their passes there. One unfortunate slipup and that's game. Duncan also was late on the three point contest and gave up the and-1. But none of this would matter if T-Mac didn't hit the shots. T-Mac who was shooting like 5-18 for the game before these shots... These magical moments do happen from time to time. I remember playing in a game where through three quarters I had shot 0-6 from three... And we were losing. But I didn't stop shooting there and then... Ended up going 6-13 after the overtime win... So that was 6-7 from three the rest of the way. Missed one completely heat check three during overtime. Needless to say things like this do happen and this is why we play the games... And this is why the game is so good! You never know what will happen in a game of basketball... And boy did it feel good to win that game.
Talent wise he was up there with MJ and Kobe same with DW. Tracy made me love basketball and Wade made me adore all those 4 guys i mentioned are the top 4 sgs of all time.
These people saying TMAC doesn't deserve to be in the HOF are the same people who are either Warriors fans or just started watching basketball in 2014. In his Raptors days TMAC was an athletic freak. Easily comparable to what Giannis is now. Then when he went to the Magic he was just a different player all together. At one point on the Magic he was up there with Kobe and Jordan in terms of having one of the greatest and decorated individual seasons, besides the playoffs. Can't even blame him for that either since he literally always had some of the worst teammates in his career. His best teammate on the Magic was Grant Hill who was injured all of his time on the team. At one point Grant Hill only played 45 games in 4 total seasons with the Magic. Then when he was on the Rockets him and Yao barely ever played together since both started to become injury prone. And not having a good Point Guard or SG or PF or bench is another reason why Rockets were never making long playoff runs. It's very easy to see why Tmac never got an easy run in the playoffs when the NBA was densely packed where every team had at least one superstar. And if you made the playoffs it was competitive and dirty every single second of the game. Unlike in today's league where you have 3 great teams and then the rest are average and the bottom teams are complete trash. Hence why Warriora and Cavs are gonna go to the finals for a 4th time this season. Nobody to come at either team because the league doesn't have as much talent as it should/once had. But that's another discussion.
How is the hate rotates to the warriors again?? I get your but people likr you have to use the warriors just to get a point is highly insulting to the fans who live 30 mins away from Oracle.
i just love reading these comments and see idiots talk about tmac's averages and say "oh hes only good for blah blah blah". Plz do not make a comment if you did not watch the game when tmac was around or anyone else.
Isao Machii Exactly most of these clowns commenting didn't even watch Mac nor Kobe in their primes nor early years. They sure do know how to Google stats and talk shit though.
and if you were a real fan of basketball you would understand that as good as t-mac was,him being in the HOF before c-webb is a crime.dont get me wrong the dude ws great for a small stretch of time due to injuries, but while healthy what did he really accomplish? the teams he lead never got out of the first round, even when yoa was healthy they couldnt make it pass utah.but when he went down in 2009 the rockets beat the blazers and took the lakers to 7 game without him.he quit on orlando and doc rivers, and lets face it he was a below average defender. yes the dude was a great scorer and a solid passer, but what has he really done to deserve being a first ballot HOFer,and no im not saying he shouldnt be in the HOF im just saying on his first go around is a bit of a farce
He's the reason why I started watching basketball he was the complete package. For me I LOVED HIS GAME!!! he had athelticism... length.. And I till this day say he has the gr3atest pull up jumper I've ever seen. If tmac did nt have injuries he's be as good as kobe or.better
@@GooTheGuru Nope and I played on a high level.......I'm no fan boy!!! I know basketball and watched T Mac's ENTIRE mediocre career! FACTS! He shot alot, scored alot, made Sportscenter alot and did NOTHING great alot!
T mac was an amazing scoring machine and had an All Star level career, but he got in the Hall of Fame because of his mainstream popularity. His "top 10 faces of the NBA superstar" status in the early to mid 2000s.
I mean he made everyone notice, especially those who watch a fuckton of basketball and can see a clear difference with what he himself did in his era. All the HOF caliber talents do. Tell me another wing player not named Kobe who can dominate games like he did in the 2000's decade. Imma wait while you google helplessly for an answer.
@@t4d0W ....Grant Hill before his ankle injury. Where Prime Tmac was unstoppable, Prime Grant Hill was a bulldozer. There was no way to stop a guy that powerful going to the basket, plain and simple. Tmac was all about skill; Grant would eat your lunch through skill AND power. He averaged what? 26ppg in his last year on Detroit?. There you go, I named one ;). Not disagreeing tho, just sayin'. Both are deserving HOF-ers ;).
My favourite player and the best of all time to me, I just love T-Mac! So sad he never reached full potential, wonder where he could have got...rest assured we wouldn't speak only about Kobe and LeBron as the best of our generation
In his prime he was better than Kobe I remember watching him in the early 2000's and he was just supremely talented at everything, not too mention he would usually guard the opposing teams best player
People are so fixated on his offense that they sleep on his defense. He was as good a defender as Kobe. Even the uploader of this video sleeps on tmacs defense. It was above average.
He deserves to be in the hof we all know that Mac was a superstar player before his injuries if he hadn’t been injured he would’ve been one the top 10 shooting guard or small forward of all time . His numbers are still hof caliber for the time he played .
Looking back at how young He still was in Houston its surprising. Im 35 so I watched his entire career. At the time He seemed older because He was always injured and He came out of HS so He had been in the league for awhile by the time He left Orlando. I am shocked that there are people that dont think He should be in the HOF. Anybody that watched him play would agree that at his best He was without question a HOF player. To me if u are the best or top 2 at ur position for an extended period u are a HOFer. Injuries dont change the player he was.
prime Tmac > prime KD. Tmac was the complete package offensively, he could bully you down low, beat you off the dribble, and was arguably the best slasher of his generation. dude was unguardable.
Let's not get too excited here. Prime KD was a monster (I say was because that achilles means his prime is gone). Offensively he was less dynamic than TMac but noticeably taller and heftier. He was better on the post, deadlier from long range (3pt averages for KD just show it) and had the same top-flight midrange as Tmac had. I agree Tmac was better in isos and slashes, but other than that, KD is the true offensive complete package. TMac was spectacular for his time, however. Defensively there's no question. Tmac was never a great defender, and KD...man, that strenghts, size and wingspan...
heftier?? no.. tmac was a bull. kd admittedly was able to sustain his dominance far longer. but his two main advantages are his length and his handles. their jump shots are comparable, though kd is more efficient. it truly is a toss up but peak tmac was dusting guys like kobe, bruce bowen, etc...
For 7 seasons the man was top 3 purest scorer in the game, led to 2x scoring champ. When healthy he was an offensive juggernaut, had mid range, had 3 ball, was athletic, versatile and could pass/defend. The guy has one of the best PER seasons ever, as good as KD is when healthy TMAC was him but better, he is one of the biggest what ifs in NBA history, but he was a hell of a player and I enjoyed watching him play as a kid and is still the most influential player in my bball career
YOu raps fans should petition retiring Vince Carters number 15 when the time comes. He did a hell lot more for that team regardless of the what happened in the end of his career there. He was the first guy to help put the Raptors on the map.
T Mac in his prime was savage and impossible to guard. Legendary player hampered by knee injuries. People forget the Orlando days where every kid was wearing blue and black t macs
Why does McGrady belong in the Hall of Fame? Because for at least six years there was legitimate conversation about if Tracy McGrady was better than Kobe. That if McGrady had Shaq (Kobe had yet to win without Shaq during this time), he would be Kobe Bryant in terms of team accomplishments. I certainly do not think he is better than Kobe but the fact of the matter is that it was a legitimate conversation that could still be romanticized today. He more than deserves it and even though he lacks the team accomplishments, the Hall of Fame is more about individual greatness anyway.
Obito Uchiha I agree. He forgot about pre injury Wade, the monster Wade of the 2006 Championship. He carried the whole team as much as MJ did vs the Suns 1993 Finals.
MOS DEF!! I would love to hear about the triangle offense, the difference between Magic and Laker Shaq, and the declining but still heavily effective at times 10-15 ppg Shaq (Suns, Cavs, Celtics)
Cayde-6 I know you'd think he should be but then maybe not bc he only had what 2 years of being great? I think he's boarder line, I wouldn't care if he made it or if he didn't
I agree.....if he hadn't got injured so early. He was so exciting to watch, in college and the nba. Too explosive and strong for points to handle, had he not got injured I dont know who could guard him.
T-Mac in the HOF is an amazing accomplishment and a true testament to how skilled he was. T-Mac is one of my all time favorite players during that era of basketball so naturally my opinion on him being in the HOF is that it is well deserved. That's my outlook on this topic whether or not you agree or disagree is your perspective. T-Mac was an incredibly talented and skilled player on the offensive end of the game and in his prime from 2000-2007 averaged over 26 points a game and nearly 30 in the playoffs during that span as well. One of the youngest players to win back to back scoring titles and was an MVP candidate in 2004. Pretty impressive for a guy that came straight out of high school. I know what some of you will say... his FG percentage wasn't that good, he wasn't a great defender, he never took his teams past the first round of the playoffs, etc. One could argue that he never had a supporting cast while in Orlando and Houston other than an injured Grant Hill and Yao Ming. Sure maybe he should have stayed with Toronto and things might have been better. He himself admitted that he should have stayed in Toronto. Some would argue that he was always injured and didn't take care of his body properly. I feel he never reached his true potential and could have been more successful during his 16 seasons. Unfortunately we will never know what "could have been" but during T-Mac's prime years he was arguably a top 20 player in the league out of 450+ players. Say what you want about T-Mac, you're entitled to your own opinions. Respect the fact that he was able to make a living doing what he loved and provided entertainment and inspiration for people all over the world.
Chris Webber almost made it to the NBA Finals (if not for the rigged refs), and still has not been into the Hall of Fame yet. Compared to T-Mac who has countless first round exits, and still be a FIRST-BALLOT hall of Famer. I just don't get it. Yes he has hall-of-fame talent but it should be transferred into at least a couple of playoff series wins despite garbage teammates. In my objective opinion he does not deserve FIRST BALLOT hall-of-famer at all when there are guys who have accomplished more and has just as much talent still waiting to get in.
Gordon Tseng finals appearances and championships are a TEAM accomplishment. Hall of Fame, scoring champ, MVP are individual and what are the criteria for HOF. Chris Webber has no scoring championships, never an MVP candidate, and always calls timeout at the worst times 😂😂😂
+Gordon Tseng Because Chris Webber didn't have a solid cast around him when he was with the Kings and was able to go deep into the playoffs? And on the eye test Webber's domination is far from few and even got predictable in the twilight of his career as he became strictly a mid range shooting PF. TMAC even the latter years in Houston had flashes of brilliance where he would just take over games and still score with the greatest of ease. As what was already mentioned, TMAC has the individual accomplishments bolstering him for the HOF along with individual dominant performances that you won't see again for another five decades or so. And many in the HOF aren't playoff winners themselves either because they were also stuck in shitty team situations for a long time. But it didn't take away from the eye test that they were absolute ballers and stood above the rest when they were on the court.
Tod Wilkinson so basically, your argument is that Webber was a better big than T-Mac? Of course he has more blocks and rebounds, that's kinda his job at his position. Historically speaking, big men are supposed to be better at defense.
+Tod Wilkinson "I'm saying Webber was a better PF than McGrady was a SF. I'd rather have a 6'10 255 pound player that can ball than a 6'8 215 player that is a volume shooter." Funny. Give TMAC another capable ball handler/shot creator for a teammate along with a rim protector and he's at least making it to 2nd round. Of course he had to take all those shots. Who the fuck else was making them in Orlando? Drew Gooden or Darrell Armstrong? Whose taking his shots away when Yao was hurt? (and he's guaranteed to be hurt) Rafer Alston, Luis Scola or Shane Battier? None of those scrubs are going to make a difference because TMAC was the only guy who can score and the teams who beaten him who were better then KNEW IT! And for a while prime TMAC was getting comparisons as being one of the most dominant players in that era in the same sentence as Kobe Bryant. Chris Webber wasn't even in that same conversation so you fucking memory is foggy as hell. You gotta be a fucking idiot to think Webber did it all for the Kings. Without Christie/Bibby/Stojakovic, Webber has no guys to kick out too when he's deep in position by the paint and try double him. Without Divac/Miller, Webber has saavy post passers to keep the ball moving. His Kings team was very complete for what it was and a huge reason why they went as deep as they could every year when healthy. Not because Chris Webber put the team on his back. Because there were other guys who can put the team on their backs when Webber wasn't having a good night.
He has a weak hall of fame resume tho. I love Tmac he's a beast, but it was only like a couple years. Has never made it past the first round (discrediting the spurs run in 13 cause he didn't do anything and was signed late)never won an mvp, was not good in some parts in his career.
No he's going because he's a legend coach nick even said he'd be top 10 if he never got injured you just sound stupid if you don't think he deserves it.
To be honest, he is not qualified to be HOF, say the least he is lucky to be part of it. First reason is that the achievements in his career doesn't give him any chance considered HOF, his prime too short, not consistent. Second reason : he doesn't have significant impact or contribution to basketball, like special case yao ming. All we know is that he was supposed to be as good as kobe, but in reality, he couldn't keep up with what ppl expected. (Do not count injuries, all basketball players need to deal with it). So NO.
VC15 Dunk You clearly know nothing about T-Mac, or basketball for that matter. 7x All-Star, 7x All-NBA, 2x scoring champion in an injury shortened career? 62 point game, multiple 50 point games, multiple 40 point games, and averaged *32.1 PPG* one year??!! Not to mention there were literally kids who wanted to play ball because of TMac.....GTFO! There are current Hall of Famers that don't even have close to those accolades. If he got to play just 1 full season with another Top 20 player in the league they would've won the chip. All of his teams were trash. Not his fault.
Achievements of his career can be argued over but it clearly favors TMAC despite his prime going at around 8 seasons. As of him not having a significant impact or contribution, you have to be fucking deluded, ignorant or have not watched the 2000s decade of basketball. Kobe is the most known dominant wing player in that era since he had the benefit of health and a stacked team early and late in that decade. TMAC if you saw him was as dominant if not more than Kobe and he averaged close to 38.7 minutes in his prime. He was also the only legit shot creator for his team so defenses can lock on him down and he responded usually with crazy offense all on his own. All basketball players have to deal with injuries but you can only deal with the body you were born with. And did you think TMAC wasn't dealing with his own shit with scoliosis as well as not having the best teammates in the teams he played, as well with strong teams he went up against when he was going to the playoffs in Houston? Use BBALLREFERENCE, search the Houston first round playoff matchups in 05, 07 and 08 and tell me if TMAC's Rockets can realistically get over those teams.
Gon Killua lol these achievements looks trash compare to other great players. and only one year? tell me how many players in hof dont have better achievements than tmac? to be honest, the only good part for him to hof is that memories those fans had.
Even tho I appreciate you, coach Nick, fot making video and in no way I am hating, I gotta say that no one should doubt why is T-mac in hof. I think everyone knows what a legend he was.
Tracy was my favorite player growing up suck how injuries took a huge toll on his career but I was so happy when he went to the Spurs (my home team) o know he didn't do.much but to have your favorite player who you never thought would come play for home team actually comes I was a kid again lol and he would have stayed a extra season with the Spurs he could have won a chip wit us. T-mac will always be my favorite player
When it comes to greatest offensive seasons, T Mac's 2002-2003 season is definitely up for one of the best ever. Up with Wilts 50PPG season, Kobes 06 season, MJs best season, etc.
Everybody in this comment section who keeps talking about why isn't Webber in the HOF obviously doesn't know what the HOF is. Webb will get in eventually. The Pro el with Webb is that the HOF isn't called the NBA HOF. It's called the Basketball HOF. Webb's mishap in the NCAA tournament still haunts him and it really tainted his career in a lot of people's eyes. He does deserve to get in, but the people who select have to first forget about that time out call a little bit. Mac deserves every bit of praise he's getting and has got. Dude has been nothing short of a class act and an ultra star player, aside from when injuries had officially broken him down. He had 7 HOF seasons, and not being able to get ass past the first round has nothing to do with his induction. It's an individual feat. Not a team one. He and Kobe were on the same level, whether you like it or not. Kobe just had the longevity that Mac unfortunately had no chance to see.
TMAC had a short prime sure, but those 5 years or so was absolutely ridiculous. You put him next to Timmy D and Coach Pop and he would have won 4 rings easily. Or if you put him next to Shaq and under Coach Phil, same thing.
Back in the day, the discussion "T-mac or Kobe?" was legitimate a thing. Now, of course, that'd be no discussion but the what ifs are endless. Regardless of the vast contradiction of how their respective careers ended, I'd still pick Prime T-mac over Prime Kobe. Dude made it look easy. Even if you were just watching even from a CRT TV, you'll see that the way T-mac moved looked effortless. Congratulations to him for making it in.
McGrady was deadly with the pull up 3 in transition or semi transition. And Im surprised his 3pt % is that low. He was a better 3pt shooter than his % says. I think alot of it is the amount of contested shots and struggles early in his career that pulled his career % down.
T-Mac is the definition of a pure scorer. The man can get buckets at will, too bad injuries halted his prime.

Lol I'm a warriors fan, TMac my fav player all time though
How is the hate rotates to the warriors again?? I get your but people likr you have to use the warriors just to get a point is highly insulting to the fans who live 30 mins away from Oracle.
Warriors fan here, and you're an idiot. cheers
warriors fans make my brain hurt
Don't worry, I'm sure your team will have a chance to win again...someday. ;)
He's in my top 5 of all-time personally... I loved T-Mac's game dude was a freak of nature and scored at will!
i just love reading these comments and see idiots talk about tmac's averages and say "oh hes only good for blah blah blah". Plz do not make a comment if you did not watch the game when tmac was around or anyone else.
Isao Machii Exactly most of these clowns commenting didn't even watch Mac nor Kobe in their primes nor early years. They sure do know how to Google stats and talk shit though.
and if you were a real fan of basketball you would understand that as good as t-mac was,him being in the HOF before c-webb is a crime.dont get me wrong the dude ws great for a small stretch of time due to injuries, but while healthy what did he really accomplish?
the teams he lead never got out of the first round, even when yoa was healthy they couldnt make it pass utah.but when he went down in 2009 the rockets beat the blazers and took the lakers to 7 game without him.he quit on orlando and doc rivers, and lets face it he was a below average defender.
yes the dude was a great scorer and a solid passer, but what has he really done to deserve being a first ballot HOFer,and no im not saying he shouldnt be in the HOF im just saying on his first go around is a bit of a farce
he quit on doc rivers? doc rivers got fired and was replaced in tmacs last season. You just proved my point, thank you for commenting.
also, what does C Webb have anything to do with my comment?
He shouldn't be in the hall of fame
T mac deserves his induction in the hall of fame because this guy could actually go toe to toe with the best. Im happy for him.
Skip seat geek ad button. 4:43
Michael Ford that shit is mad annoying!
You're the real mvp
You're very good with your content and analysis! You seem to have good basketball critique acumen that other UA-cam channels don't have. Good job!!
T-mac was Kobe when healthy. Except he was 6′9''
Bilal Souldan he wasn't Kobe. nigga was his own player put respect on t mac
Bilal Souldan minus the defense 🙂
Kobe was a far better defender and just as good if not better a scorer.
ethan24 t mac was more fluent and smooth, more athletic than Kobe. Better scorer. That's about it
Of course Kobe was a better defender. It's just that offensively he was just as potent when healthy.
T Mac was one of my favorite players growing up
He's the reason why I started watching basketball he was the complete package.
For me I LOVED HIS GAME!!! he had athelticism... length..
And I till this day say he has the gr3atest pull up jumper I've ever seen. If tmac did nt have injuries he's be as good as kobe or.better
T-Mac has always been my favourite player! The combination of all kinda of offensive plays were just Amazing!!
T-Mac, such a humble brother also, no mention of his defense or his off court contributions to charities though 👊
Has been and will always be my favorite player of all time. It’s hard to draft a 2k all time team and not pick him every time.
Tmac is the most talented player that I have ever seen
Kai Xiao Dam right😂😂
Kai Xiao
One of the most for sure...
You mean the most overrated!
@@daddyfamlittle6262
you were born after 2000 i bet...
@@GooTheGuru
Nope and I played on a high level.......I'm no fan boy!!! I know basketball and watched T Mac's ENTIRE mediocre career! FACTS! He shot alot, scored alot, made Sportscenter alot and did NOTHING great alot!
Great video, he was my favorite player growing up.
Coach we need a Nick Galis video!
Didn't know we needed a video.
Because he was a BEAST easy! Everyone recognize that
thanks coach, a video I've been waiting for, for years
T mac was an amazing scoring machine and had an All Star level career, but he got in the Hall of Fame because of his mainstream popularity.
@3:33 not a lot of people can claim they did a shot like that.
It was over Kobe AND Shaq!
If Tracy stayed in Orlando, he would've teamed up with Dwight Howard.
+Conor Oades IF HE WOULDVE STAYED IN TORONTO THEY COULDVE HAD BOSH, CARTER, TMAC!!!!
@@bballbreakdown So basically OKC before OKC.
one of the reason why I started watching basketball
Kawhi went from being coached by a Nurse to a Doc
Except the doctor was a quack
T-Mac vs Kobe one on one matchups were just crazy, the best offensive and defensive battle I have ever seen 80s 90 and last 19 years
My favourite player and the best of all time to me, I just love T-Mac!
He NEVER made an all Defensive team at all in his career SMH he is no where near kobe. LoL
You don’t bare to question t-Mac selection to the hall of fame, hell no
He deserves to be in the hof we all know that Mac was a superstar player before his injuries if he hadn’t been injured he would’ve been one the top 10 shooting guard or small forward of all time . His numbers are still hof caliber for the time he played .
Tmac to the rack!!!!
Start watching basketball kid you should probably delete this comment too you sound like a fukin idiot
prime tmac ain't better than prime kd, they were comparable and tmac never reached his peak
Tracy McGrady's number 1 should be retired by the Raptors
Tod Wilkinson umm no don't do that u can get arrested if he does kill him self. Look it up.
YOu raps fans should petition retiring Vince Carters number 15 when the time comes. He did a hell lot more for that team regardless of the what happened in the end of his career there. He was the first guy to help put the Raptors on the map.
NO WAY !!!1 MAGICS !!! 62 POINT CAREER HIGH 30.2 PPG
Jason Pagaduan gtfo
maybe by the magic not the raptors
The reason I make a 6’8 shooting guard every year on 2K. I still remember the 13 pts in 33 secs against the Spurs like it was yesterday
He was a rich man's Paul George
He more than deserves it and even though he lacks the team accomplishments, the Hall of Fame is more about individual greatness anyway.
christina cumba he had Yao Ming no excuse
No excuse? ffs Yao isn't on Shaq's level. Add to the fact both T-Mac and Yao were injury prone, that will really lead to nothing.
His Step back fade was unstoppable
Can't tell if some of these comments are trolls or people are just that dumb
Raiception Probably some kids who weren't born yet during the time he played.
Man is walk up 3 pointer was amazing, I had never seen something like that.
Because he got voted in
Avery Bradley's Son lol
The way he played just so cool, he is the type of players that kids wanna be
How do you people have the nerve questioned someone this talented as a hall of famer ? P.S he's better than your favorite player I'm betting on that
Nah he's not better then Wade, Cousins, AD, or Kawhi
Obito Uchiha he is he more offensive gifted then those players you listed but kawhi and ad are better two way players I give them that
My favorite player is wade so...
Obito Uchiha I agree. He forgot about pre injury Wade, the monster Wade of the 2006 Championship. He carried the whole team as much as MJ did vs the Suns 1993 Finals.
E The G wade will get that work
Coach Nick's ad transition game should be in the hall of fame
+Chris Alvarez 👍🏀😂
Still waiting for the "Why Shaq is in the Hall of Fame" video
Ay, I should do this one....!!!
Not gonna lie. I got Allen Iverson.. was satisfied and was waiting for the Diesel cause I knew it was gonna be FIRE!
Or how the triangle offense featured Shaq...
I thought the Iverson, Yao and T-Mac videos were all good just wanted to see a Shaq one cuz you would have a lot to say about the Big fella.
MOS DEF!! I would love to hear about the triangle offense, the difference between Magic and Laker Shaq, and the declining but still heavily effective at times 10-15 ppg Shaq (Suns, Cavs, Celtics)
The fact that his clutch comeback and the Black Mamba telling that TMac was the hardest to defend? It already speaks something.
is d rose gonna make the hall of fame then?
abc .z the youngest player to win an MVP has to make it
Cayde-6 I know you'd think he should be but then maybe not bc he only had what 2 years of being great? I think he's boarder line, I wouldn't care if he made it or if he didn't
I agree.....if he hadn't got injured so early. He was so exciting to watch, in college and the nba. Too explosive and strong for points to handle, had he not got injured I dont know who could guard him.
The Terrell Davis of the NBA
Chris Webber has no scoring championships, never an MVP candidate, and always calls timeout at the worst times 😂😂😂
so you trying to tell me all these individual accomplishments can't even transfer into ONE SINGLE playoff series win, and it doesn't matter at all??
+Gordon Tseng
Because Chris Webber didn't have a solid cast around him when he was with the Kings and was able to go deep into the playoffs?
+Tod Wilkinson
"I'm saying Webber was a better PF than McGrady was a SF. I'd rather have a 6'10 255 pound player that can ball than a 6'8 215 player that is a volume shooter."
Funny.
Most dynamic scorer in the history of the game
Definitely deserves the hof
He has a weak hall of fame resume tho. I love Tmac he's a beast, but it was only like a couple years. Has never made it past the first round (discrediting the spurs run in 13 cause he didn't do anything and was signed late)never won an mvp, was not good in some parts in his career.
Zack Barkadle not really you do research on who is in the HOF
I guess their going by his peak which was Impressive
there are a lot of HOF-worthy players who never won MVP or a championship.
No he's going because he's a legend coach nick even said he'd be top 10 if he never got injured you just sound stupid if you don't think he deserves it.
ish 2 no I don't, and u don't make the Hof by a "what if" u could throw rose into by that logic, even tho rose won an mvp compared to tmac
Tmac is one of my favorite players of all time
Flawless 'insert advertisement here' victory! :) Good old coach Nick!
Gon Killua dont forget the 22-0 win streak
Since you're talking about Kobe, Kobe even said the tmac was one of the hardest players to guard.
He deverse it he got a great impact on the game and he is one of the greatest scorer in the history of the game
Because it's too easy to get in the basketball hof
kefkapalazzo1 then where you at then. Smh stop hating on a great player.

He had the potential to be an elite defender, he was really good at taking care of the ball, and excellent passing too!!
Even tho I appreciate you, coach Nick, fot making video and in no way I am hating, I gotta say that no one should doubt why is T-mac in hof. I think everyone knows what a legend he was.

When it comes to greatest offensive seasons, T Mac's 2002-2003 season is definitely up for one of the best ever. Up with Wilts 50PPG season, Kobes 06 season, MJs best season, etc.
Some of y'all might question T-Mac being in the Hall of Fame. Look at his games. No rings but he was a beast. Glad he got in early.
Favorite player of all time
Everybody in this comment section who keeps talking about why isn't Webber in the HOF obviously doesn't know what the HOF is.
Kobe just had the longevity that Mac unfortunately had no chance to see.
love this guy's game man. him + d wade are the reason I love basketball
TMAC had a short prime sure, but those 5 years or so was absolutely ridiculous. You put him next to Timmy D and Coach Pop and he would have won 4 rings easily. Or if you put him next to Shaq and under Coach Phil, same thing.
Well done! 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿

Take my upvote alrdy coach.
Always smart with them ad transition's coach haha
Congrats 🍾 T MAC FOR HALL OF FAME INDUCTION
McGrady was deadly with the pull up 3 in transition or semi transition. And Im surprised his 3pt % is that low. He was a better 3pt shooter than his % says. I think alot of it is the amount of contested shots and struggles early in his career that pulled his career % down.
My first basketball game i played which i dont remember what it was but i used McGrady all the time in Houston
