Alaska will keep calling you back! Just going to be around the scenic mountains is what I’m going for I’ve been there and it’s been a long time just to sit and watch the Mountain View everyday for tea time to start your day is priceless. Snow bird- nomad. How ever you want. Washington State has these views but it doesn’t seem to have as many choices as Alaska. Thank you for the video’s. 🤔👍🏻🇺🇸🌵🌴

@@LessJunkMoreJourney : You must have been through Wyoming, a lot of snow and mountains there and you won’t have to fly. That’s one stat I’d like to explore. 🏔

I lived in Alaska for 15 years and in three different areas. The best northern lights I ever saw were in Anchorage. I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and the house was illuminated by the lights coming through the windows. It was amazing. Most of the time I slept through the truly awesome display but that time my bladder was my friend!

I live in Sweden. We have were i live, winter 7 out of 12 months. I see northern lights, we have snow, cold and dark. After following your journey and this recap, i find myself appreciate winter, snow, cold and dark. It is kind of special and i have never seen it like that. That it actually are something people want to experience. Also it makes me appreciate spring, the return of light and warmth even more. Thank you guys, and thank god you were ok after that last white moose Marissa! :)

I didn't fall in water or anything but i did have my $ & license lost at Estes Park. This was years ago. A life-long friendship occurred though when an honest older couple found it & turned it in. No feeling like knowing all that is missing.
So thankful Matt found it. I know you two were praying mightily.

TAKE THE TRIP! When you aren’t sure it’s the right time, take the trip. When you wonder if seeing people who were part or your life a very long time ago might be awkward, take the trip. When you don’t know if you should extend a day (or two) to see something more, take the trip! Tomorrow isn’t promised and I’ve learned we should always take the trip!

Come to Europe next! Last night we arrived super late into Majorca, we had struggle-bussed through the departure airport, drove a new rental car into the tightest airbnb parking garage ever, we had no food for our kiddo upon arrival (parent fail! - I had to feed him tic-tacs for dinner!!) - BUT, this mornings we are here! The sun is shining and we are headed to the old town and beach...Travel with kids is hard! I miss the ease of our RV! But we get to travel Europe, expose ourselves to new cultures and languages and people. we get to learn so much about how other people and cultures do life. Travel is such a privilege even when it's hard. I'm glad we pushed through!

In case it happens again: TSA can make an exception to let you fly. 😉 you can have someone scan any other documents you can find. And show the email to the airline counter. You have to do a full pat down and they hand checkb your bags. But u aren't stuck

I lived in Alaska for 10-years! I love that you really experienced it. It’s my favorite place I’ve lived, and the most difficult place. Interestingly you mentioned at the end “if you want to live in an RV and that’s your dream…” we just moved into our Class C this weekend. We’ve had it for 15 months, with a full renovation (now for the exterior!). I’ve wanted to do this for years and yet, I’m still crying because the entire process can be overwhelming and hard - even when you want it! Loved this video!

Vera Bradley makes a small wallet called the All In One Crossbody bag. You wear it with a shoulder strap. My phone and cards all fit in it. It is bigger than what you showed but smaller than a traditional purse. Since it is on your person, there is less chance of losing it. I use it with a sling backpack where I carry all the Mom things I need but anything valuable is right on your person and easily accessible. The one I have is made of a waterproof material that is easily wiped off. You might want to look into it.

I'm not sure if you would ever see this, plus everything worked out, but if you ever have that happen with your license again you can show up to the airport two extra hours early before your flight and they can verify your identity there. It's a pain, and you have to go 4 hours before your flight but it can be done. In the United States anyway, I don't know about anywhere else.

We lost a license on a trip once, if you have a printed or photo copy of the license it CAN (not always but can) be accepted by a supervisor at the ticket and TSA checkpoints. Ever since that point in time, before I go on a trip I make a printed copy of the front and back of our licenses to store in the carry-on's. A printed copy of the passport would be also helpful also.
