    Great review! Really professional. And I find it interesting you place your feet so far back on the board.

      I was about to say the same thing! Even when the only thing framed are just their legs/feet, you can definitely tell if it's him or his friend riding XD
      I always thought riding so back-leaning is a fair bit more dangerous.. what do you think?
      Now I'm watching him I'm realising though that it gives you more room and chance to stretch your front leg further ahead and to brace for a powerful brake.. just thinking out loud :/

      You should try the backfire g2t ( 15 miles battery and if you are under 75kg it’s 20miles) top speed 25 and with turbo it’s 28-29 even 30 miles an hour. Wheels are 83 mm and extra ones that come with it are 96 mm also the deck is stiff and bouncy at the same time.

      runs out of battery faster when you get battery sag on other longboards you tend to get longer battery, but the choice of going fast or slow is good tho so idk

      That is impressive. For those wondering about the Ownboard- i can account that the mini KT 6.0 also performs its top speed at low battery levels at around $500- something to consider for those wondering if they must spend to $1,000+ to get quality and performance. Also- i am uncomfortable with the major gap visible at 8:14...ownboard KT is at a higher standard than 8:14

    Great video! Have you thought about reviewing budget boards? Such as the Backfire, Wowgo or ownboard? Most of these budget boards are hub motors and not belt. Maybe you could compare the two motor types? I know id like to see how much of a difference there really is between high end and budget boards.

    It seems like so-called ‘top speeds’ have a good deal of variation just as your video demonstrates. That being said, I absolutely love my Boosted Stealth. However, the difference between the stock 85’s compared to the ultra pricey OEM 105’s is night and day in regards to quality of ride. I first replaced my 85mm with Boosted’s 90mm [which was a marked improvement] only to then acquire 2 sets of 105mm wheels. And I highly recommend the 105mm wheels. Especially if you live in a major city where the street conditions can definitely be less than optimal.

    I really would like to get an electric skateboard either long or short, but don't have the cash to drop $600 on a board right now. Are the boards on Amazon for right around $200 any good? Some of them have like 5 stars with 10-20 reviews from actual people it seems like. Just wondering if it's too good to be true. If anyone knows please lmk I would love to grab a cheaper board!

    There is another board, backfire g2t, it through my testing can go 29-30 (I am only 140 pounds) and it has about the same acceleration as boosted. I get 10 miles of range in the fastest mode and around 12 to 14 in eco depending on the roads. I raced everything from meepos to raptor 2s and it goes well against almost all of the high end boards.

    The premium of exway is the carbon fibre deck (not sure about that) and the extremely low profile of the board. As you can see, the thing doesnt have any boxes on the otherside and looks 95% like a normal board whereas the boosted has bulky boxes on the bottom. The exway isn't meant to compete the boosted, it is made to be its own thing.

    You're the first one who finally addresses the fact that belt motors betray a very evident latency between the input and the actual acceleration, comparing to hub motored boards. Was on reddit and on youtube for MONTHS before buying my Flex-E back in November, and no one ever mentioned it.
    Of course said latency is directly proportional to the speed you're already going before giving the input: from still, it'll be 0, but if you give the input already going at 30km/h it'll literally take 3 long seconds to kick in. At least on the SR Flex-E. So apparently this doesn't happen at all on hub motors? I'm asking since I never owned one.
    Man your contents are golden, think I fell in love with your channel. Keep up the great work, and waiting for a honest review/opinion on your experience with your Flex-E!
    Cheers from Italy ;)

    This review really isnt fair, since you are reviewing the newest version boosted board, and when the Exway 1 now has their second version for a couple months out already. Secondly a board with 80 miles on it is still VERY new so it still has that new "omg its brand new i must treat it royally" persona from it. Since your video has gotten so much traction i think it would be best to add an edit or maybe for exway to send you the exway x1 pro and also with riot mode. since in my opinion exway x1 pro really is as good or better than boosted stealth, love to see you review those too as you do an incredibly detailed review so really solid on that part!

      Hi Brian, We've got the X1 Pro being delivered on Monday of this coming week. We will begin working on multiple x1 Pro videos including VS Boosted Stealth. We'll hold off doing anything with the riot until it's finished and out of the prototype stage. Plus, I'd like to see how much it will cost. That is super important to consider. We had no idea there was a new Exway coming when this video was made but we're fully on top of it. Really appreciate the kind words and intend to keep making more videos.

    I have a Boosted Stealth and I love it. I love the functionality of the remote wheel to go forward, brake and reverse. I personally don't see the need to tweak it. I got used to it fairly quick. I think it gets difficult to get used to when you have experience with so many remotes that function differently.
    My first board was a Genesis hellfire (basically a Koowheel) with a very simple remote with a simple up and down switch to go forward and break. Going from that to the Boosted remote it was a huge step up and felt intuitive. Since then I've used the 2nd gen evolve remote and i hate it because its such a departure from what i'm comfortable with. I do appreciate the different options for people. I also think the video did an amazing job of explaining the pros and the "cons" of the boosted remote.

  • @joshoconnor9666
    @joshoconnor9666 Рік тому

    Bro i hit 34mph earlier on my meepo mini 2 er. The remote says it will go 38mph if i flip the board up and just ride the throttle. I hit 34mph and started getting the death wobble. This is on a reg size skateboard with the syock bushings. I feel like i may be able to bump that up a few mph if i get some decent bushings in it, maybe slap some nicer wheels on it. Bro i get like 20ish miles on a single charge outta that thing. I picked up a refurbished one for like 420$.

    • @averageeskatereviews
      @averageeskatereviews  5 років тому

      Scrolling back is reverse. Scrolling back slowly will of course stop the board but you need to keep in mind the wheels will eventually begin to spin backwards. Takes a little getting use to.

  • @Kaikojo
    @Kaikojo 5 років тому

    For the boosted's more aggressive reverse helping with downhill braking; is it possible to put the exway in reverse quickly on a steep hill to achieve this as well? Or would the remote not allow for a back, brake and forward, I would have to choose 2?

      I hear you but don’t compare a board like Boosted to Backfire. They are not the same thing at all. Not saying Boosted are the best but they are certainly not in the same class as Backfire

    would the red boa wheels fit and work with the exway x1 or x1 pro? im planning on buying a board today, what would you recommend for a person that is 6'2" and 220 pounds... would the exway flex be too flexible for my weight? and wanted to ask if i would have the option to install and use the larger boa wheels with the exway x1 and x1pro?
    thanks soo much for your advice in advance, it means alot to me, u seem very well informed on esk8 boards, i would loe to hear your recommendation for my weight and height... thanks soo much,
    -peter

  • @jonassvensson1819

    Hello, the delay in Boosteds acceleration is not do to the belt drive, in fact the gear ratio is what makes it strong, but the software including the jerk filter which is to protect you if you accidentally pull the trigger. The hub motor boards sometime fool you into thinking they accelerate fast because of the sudden jolt but lack in torque and power.

    No idea what board to buy now that these awesome companies are going/have gone out of business. How do you choose when parts probably won’t be available in the future? What do you recommend buying now?

    Hey man I love your reviews. Plz don’t change the way you do them as your channel takes off. Anyways my bike recently was stolen and iv been trying to find a new way of Transportation, that’s how I got Interested in e boards. I noticed that you have lots of them and I was wondering if you could do a give away on any of them so that I can enter in it. If not then that’s cool, I wouldn’t want to give one of them away either.

    Reversing on the boosted is very easy though to break. It feels very natural and easy to stop I have never had an instance where it has caused the board from going out from under me. That's the main reason the Exway is one of my favorite boards it let's you change it so that you can reverse with the wheel similar to the boosted.

    Such a eloquently put comparison! You're the only uk eBoard user I've come across! I have a evolve carbon GT and would love to do a comparison with you vs the Boosted? I thought this would be cool because they're around the same price
