- I flew about 10 packs tuning this thing and this is the best I can come up with. It flies very solid now like it's on rails. Hope this helps some of you with the issues that plague this thing out of the box!

With that high of a D term you will most likely smoke your motors. And in the instructions it tells you to set your sub trims to 1000 1500 2000, you do that with every beta flight running rig, If people would just read the instructions it gives you the exact sub trim values ;)
I did read my instructions . I changed two motors had it repaired 2 times. Only would fly good 1st battery 2nd wanted to fly away . It had its way flew away cant find

best all around TPA is 0.18 at 1635 (for stock torrent)
I got rid of most of drift by adjusting FC via radio

mine has raceflight millivolt on beta 3.2 and it feels sloppy but could be that i fly 5" racers that are custom built with tons of power 4s and 5s...what u reccomend im trying to setup for my son for 2s and ill fly on 3s and will change pids accordingly

Hey I just got one of these the other day and it doesn't roll or flip even in arco mode. Do you why this is happening? I have sptreum dxe
billy Weiss it sounds to me like you may have programmed the flight modes to the wrong switch. Try a different switch to see of it changes flight modes.
Are there transmitter settings for the dxe in the book?
Also, do you have a computer with betaflight setup?

I'm not sure if there are specific instructions for the dxe I will have to look. I do have a cable for the computer for betaflight

Corey Vadasz I'm getting around a minute and 30 seconds flight time on a 3-cell 450 mAh lipo. Is that normal? Even when I'm not ripping it I can't get past a 1:40. 60 seconds if im ripping it.

I get 2:30 per flight with a 3s 450 lipo and I fly them pretty hard. Cells usually come down right at 3.8v/cell. What are the individual cells coming down at after your 1:30 flights? You may have a bad connection not allowing enough current to get by sending it into low voltage cutoff.
Corey Vadasz after 1:30 of normal flight my cells are down to about 3.8v each (or 11.4ish total). I make sure I check the volts a few times after I disarm (it works its way up to around 11.4). lot of people are reporting five minute flight times.
I'm using xt60 connectors.
A guy on Rc Groups just wrote this:
"Yes, as stated earlier, you have to unlearn the use of Lipo's on these small Quads. Fly them down to 3.3V per cell (or 9.9V) in order to gain some flight time. Adjust the alerts accordingly. Obviously there is not a lot of margin left and it will crash quickly once it goes below 3.3V, set alert to 3.4V.
These lipo's are cheap enough and danger of damage due to over-drain is a 'don't care' i.e. cheap enough to replace. They will still last a hundred flights.
Your observed flight times are normal.
What do you think about that, draining them down to 3.3v?
attempting to take it to 9.9v (on my 3 cell lipo) lasted 2:40 but the volts dropped form 10.1 to 7.4 in 2 seconds of hovering literally. I disarmed the motors and it continued to drop in tiny increments slowly. I guess that's going to have to do

yes i fly that battery, a little over 4 minutes rocking in air mode.

Thanks for answering, seems to be the only battery I can find. The 450mAh sold out everywhere.. Why xt 30, I have one with JST connector, that won't work?
it will work some time but the original jst can not handle the currents.
xt30 is a must if you want to run 800mah 3s.
ive electrically welded a jst together and ruined a battery to learn my lesson.
they all come stock with jst. you have to mod it.
