I have been looking at rhis gun after seeing it in vids. Currently i have a Sig 365XL, but I have been wanting to try a 2011. I have heard the Foxtrot S15 version 2 is good, but it is more money than this one. Do you feel now that LFA has gotten all issues fixed that if I buy one I will not have to send it in? Also how does the size compare to the 365XL as I would probably rotate this in for AIWB carry. Thanks...
@yotatech First, the Apollo 11 is more like a P320 Carry size, so not ccw size. AF S15 is smaller than the Apollo 11 and you could ccw. I think LFA has worked out most issues and is probably worth looking at. However, if I was in the market for a first 2011, I would go with Alpha Foxtrot Romulus or Kimber 2K11. Mac 9 DS is less than the Apollo 11 and has really good reviews.
LFA just dropped an aluminum grip module for the Apollo 11 which will likely alleviate majority of the original issues. Haven't seen anyone test it yet though.
I got the compact close to two months ago, have about 800 through it. The first 50 I had one brand of JHP jam, and slide would lock back with one round left. Since then it’s eaten everything and is hungry for more. I dunno, guess mine was built on a Wednesday. Sorry you got a lemon bro. LFA specifically says to order Checkmate mags and does not guarantee any other will work. Hope you get it sorted, mine is my new favorite.
Great to hear man, enjoy! Ammo hasn't been an issue for me and the only problems, coincidentally, 😂 are with the checkmate mags (and LFA mags which are checkmate).
Same. Not sure what that was about but the new slide is a lot smoother I noticed. I wish they were more detailed on the explanations. What was wrong with the grip and slide that it warrantied a replacement? 🤷🏾♂️
I have had great luck with them. First got a compact then a full size . Then a set of sequential serial numbered compacts . Have a couple thousand rounds through with one failure to feed and one stove pipe. Both on first mags .
@@love4gtsandguns love that they took care of the issues. They really are a great pistol when don’t have issues. Get a Dawson precision tool less guide rod . Runs even better and easier to take down.
I posted another video after this one at the range. Let's just say that its not all worked out. 😂 They did send me an extra mag but the gun ultimately is back with LFA again. 😞

thanks for the update! Crazy that they had to replace the slide and the grip. I am waiting for the Bul EDC Pro to come out.
