hey alex can you add a Unused feature that notch wanted to put in game but postponed and never talked about since then.
Lanterns, 1 torch, wood, and glass. when putting down the lantern you have to use flint and steel to light it. when lit, the light's radius will go down slowly until the light is out.
can last for days until that day comes (like 3 or 5 days, it's really if it would work for you or not). rain can not put the light down, due to it being protected by glass.
I can give you some ideas if you need any alex. :D

This mod would be amazing if it wasn't for the fact, that you need to go to the nether to have permanent lighting.
Minecraft is a survival game but it is also a sandbox building game, and it makes it impossible to build big houses and such pre nether, unless you want to get swarmed by monsters all the time.
Maybe add a cooking recipe for glowing mushrooms, that turns them into glowstone dust, or add a button to turn of the torch lighting limit.
A game should be more fun than frustrating, and this just adds too much frustration for me.
