- In yet another search for the best food in the Polys in Singapore, we headed to Wen Chuan's old school, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, to find out what's good and what's not!

Fun fact my dad used to be the one working at the Japanese Cusine store. Until he wanted to devote his time in other work and passed it on to someone. Sadly it's not longer as good! 😐😐 despite him teaching them everything.

Ngee Ann's dialogue in the dark used to give cookies to eat in the dark back when i was a student there (which you could purchase for $1 each). It was DAAAAAAMN GOOD. My friends and i actually wanted to go through the experience again just for the cookies cause we couldnt find it anywhere else LOL

E1 from what I heard there's this restaurant that the students are practicing? And also SIT block there got restaurant also where students practice as well? (Sources from current RP students)

RP!!! you guys need to eat the ayam penyet at lawn.
RP. At Lawn, you need to eat the Cheese Chicken Rice & At Koufu, go to the Snacks store & eat their Tom Yum Fries & Hot & Spicy Fries. If you go in May, eat at Oliva which is level 10 of E1(make sure to make reservation), Water's Edge or 9th Avenue.

you guys seriously missed the xiaolongbao at blk 22, the waffles icecream at poolside, western food + Ramen store at MKP, and various student-run food outlets at OurSpace.

RP, ya'll need to try the crowded bowl shop and thai shop at the lawn foodcourt, the mala at the north canteen and omg the fruit juices at south canteen is good too

South/ Koufu: Level 1: Chicken rice, Level 2: Nasi Lemak
Lawn: Ayam Penyet, crowded bowl, thai food - pineapple fried rice and pad thai, waffle
North/ E canteen: Mala, takoyaki, western food, chicken rice, dry ban mian
You guys should also try and make appointment for course meals at water's edge/ Oliva. It's a training restaurant where students cook/ serve guests and it's always fully booked.

The dialogue in the dark has a boat ride in it as well. I remembered walking through the whole dialogue in the dark with my class. Then the guide who led us is blind. we were so surprised..

Library cafe has bingsu and atas stuff but no $$ always eat kopitiam.
TRCC is disappointing i feel, if really must eat, get japanese curry rice. Their fries are nice and crisp though.

OH!!! And you guys can check out the school's training restaurant (9th Ave, Watersedge, Oliva) have to make reservations tho!!!

About Kaki Fuyong:
1) There's still oyster and prawn, not sure why they remove the menu.
2) Recently I just tried prawn extra toppings; won't ever order prawn again. It taste frozen and hard on the inside when i bite into it. The taste was horrible. Didn't experience it in the past though.

Lawn for the ayam peyet, padthai and crowded bowl (please ask for jap sesame sauce okay? if you go there early they have awesome scrambled egg to top it off which is usually sold out during lunch.)

Here to see what food is nice in my school coz I've been sticking to the carbonara at makan place, chicken chop omelette at munch, chicken chop and rice at the western store at poolside and chicken rice at food club.
Omg YES @ the dishwashing liquid soup 😂 always thought I was the only one who thought so HAHAHHA
OMG...can't wait for you all to try out RP foods...
Here are some foods you all can try:
1. Can try out RP Restaurant at E1, If I'm not wrong is lvl 10 this restaurant is handle by the students
2. Kofu Level 2, one and only stall at lvl 2 their Malay chicken drumstick nasi lemak and their milo is the best
3. TRCC, their chicken wrap and western food is nice
4. LAWN, the Ayam peynet is delicious and longest queue and the other stall which sell salads is nice too, you can choose a variety of topping/ingredients
5. NORTH CANTEEN, the Chinese dumpling (boil or fried are nice too)
good thing about np is that it's near SIM. so I can come here and eat once in a while
you should try the chicken rice soup at the coffeeshop near the junction 8 not on top on the bus station

Huh? If you cannot appreciate Wok Hei, then all the Zi Char you cannot rate liao lo. Because you will only rate based on the sauce and texture, exlude the wok hei-ness, right?

After you have gone through the list of polys, COME TO NUS PLS. Science canteen's pork rib noodles + 2 zha shui jiao = best combi everrrrrrr and only for 3.50!

Check out the cafe at RP The Republic Cultural Centre. The pasta is good
wah dialogue in the dark. i had a terrible panic attack when i went in. couldn't do it. lucky to be able to see.
