In my 10th class, I hated SST and never got more than 40-45 out of 100. Bought all kinds of books available in the market thinking some magic will happen and I will improve, but sadly it never happened. In december or january, in my pre board, I scored my all time low in SST.
Then I knew I had to do something. I bought more books and question bank but I used to get scared whenever I opened those books because I couldn't remember things I studied last night. And I was the type of student who used to try to study chapters as a story using random youtube videos under 10 mins and frame his own answers in exams.
Anyways,
Boards started..
When my SST paper was about to happen, Sir took One shot of the entire history, civics, economics and geography. Like 4 subjects in 4 videos. I had no other option Time was less. So I took paper and pen and started noting down dates and important points during the video. I used to continuously sit for many hours. While sir was teaching, I used to sit with my NCERTs and note down every thing in my book what he said, meaning of every picture, every box, every line.
NCERT....
It became my best friend a week before board exams. And sir,... My guru.
I used to revise only NCERT, everyday, every minute.
I had all in one book in which I studied all maps which sir has taught. Night before my boards exam, while other students where getting 8 hours of sleep. I was awake at 3am. I just finished my syllabus and revision. I took my sample paper book of edu***t. I started reading questions. I noticed I knew the answer to every question without any mistake. I went through all 10 sample papers and hardly I faced problem in 5-6 problems.
I WAS READY.... ❤️
I immediately went to sleep around 4am and slept for 3 hours I guess.
When I woke up, I didn't open the book. I was confident. I got ready and took the blessing of my parents. My father dropped me into my examination hall and went to the office.
I sat in my room, papers got distributed.
I Immediately knew I was about to score very good for the first time in SST.
When I came out of examination hall after paper collection. My mom came to pick me up because papa went to office. She just asked, "kaisa gaya?". To which I confidently replied 90/100. Other parents around started laughing at my confidence and my mother with a smile said "chalo theek hai dekha jayega".
When The results came, I got 89/100 in SST. Yes, just a month ago, I got 40/100.
Everyone was happy. Ofcourse why not anybody wouldn't be happy. I got 90% overall, which was good for me because in pre board, I only got 70%.
Anyways... Here is the conclusion
1) NCERT is the only book going to help you
2) Sir is best person to learn SST from.
3) your Parents should be your only friend during your exam days. Share them everything.
4) the most important, HARDWORK 🔥.
Last month before the boards , I was studing continuously for 8-9 hours. Morning 6am, i would start studying. And would sleep at 4am or something.
My Parents knew I have given all my best and I knew I had Worked hard. Now the result was not my concern.
All the best to every student reading this. Know that your parents might show that they are not happy with your marks, but reality is all they see is your hardwork. If you give your best before the exam, and you get bad results, your parents won't be sad because they knew that you were honest with yourself.🙂
