@@MopedProblems of course!!! I myself am being a bit biased as I am looking for info so I can purchase a moped more second hand because unfortunately for me I don't have enough money for a new one let alone one rn so my best bet would be to fix up a moped. This video helped open my avenue of what I need to do on site, I greatly appreciate it. I hope one day to purchase a bike from your shop, or to come visit soon. Thank you for responding :)
Watching this stuff takes me back over 40 years when I was one of the Pioneer moped maniacs of the 1970s in London...fs1es,ss50s,ap50s,gileras...the world was my lobster...it's great to see today's youngsters having the same sort of daft wild fun that only a moped can bring
my friend got me into your channel we ride peds in Scotland!! great channel!!! sending positive moped vibes from Scotland! We are doing a Scottish camping/moped adventure for 4 weeks in August!
This is the way me and my friend group has bought about 8 mopeds so far. Just bringing a few tools and if you don't get it running it's a few hour walk if you do it's about an hour drive absolutely love that feeling of getting it running for the first time
Educational videos like these are remarkable. I think most people will greatly appreciate to see a video of you moped veterans opinion explaining how to take care of a moped to make it last a long time.
Please make more videos like this! So much information from little tidbits throughout the video. I feel like a series where you go out and fix bikes while informing the viewer would be perfect.
Moped Problems The TSM is a white top tank. Stripped down and made to look more motocross like the TSE was back in the day. Knobby tires, electronic ignition and delorto 15 mm carb. Stock and reliable is for me. The wife rides the 103. Step through because she is too short for a top tank. Painted green like the old 103SP. Got it set up the same way engine wise.
Greetings from belgium ^^ i love and collect oldtimer mopeds and its lovely to see that many people over the world share that love ^^ keep going love to see more of you guys btw secretly love the pink one ^^
Mopeds rule man. I have 3 in mine garage. Driving on a summer day with family and friends is so relaxing. 2 Sparta's 1 2speed and 1 3speed. And 1 Zundapp 529. If parts are hard to find you should look in the Netherlands. Lots of moped website's.
Be very careful, it's a disease. You: "Oh, I'll just buy a Puch to mess around with." (10 months later) Landlord: "You can't park 25 bikes in your apartment."
Pedalling one of these home is only slightly faster than walking. Always loved these little things but parts for most of them are not available at all. Some things available for Puchs, Vespas, and lots for VeloSolexes. I gave away my Batavia because the special primary belt for the M56 engine broke and none are available anywhere. What they sell online don't fit.
It’s a battle finding parts for some brands. But everything is available for Puch. TOMOS is still around and we have a ton of parts for them online www.2ndstrokemopeds.com
Keep a welders tourch tip cleaner in your tool kit as well, there around $5 and are EXCELLENT for carb jet cleaning :-) and in most cases has a cheap built in file to help with heavy build up on the jet :-/
Hi man. I’m almost 16 and I am looking to buy a good trustworthy moped that’s 50cc. I don’t wanna spend more than like 700 and I want a used one. What model would you recommend. I want a 4 stroke one
Hey James! If $700 is your budget, a used bike will have to do (don’t buy a brand new $700 bike, there are various brands that offer this and they are problematic and poor quality). If its 4 Stroke your looking for most affordable scooters are 4 Stroke. Find a used Bintelli.
Why don't you come to asia? We have bazillion tons of modern mopeds with top speed up to 70 mph and are freeway worthy. You can take a look at the Yamaha 150cc mopeds or the Honda 150cc ones. Mopeds are everyday life here.
@@MopedProblems Ah. I see now. I just bought a peugeot 103lvs that i hope i can bring back too life. The biggest problem is that the tank is rusted and it has a couple of holes and i am not sure if they can be repaired. They are not big holes so maybe i canfix them with jb weld but dont know if it would hold against the fuel.
Yo Pete! I NEED one of those Tomos Baseball T-shirts ASAP. I'll trade you a seized Puch Maxi E50 2hp for one (you pay shipping from NM). Seriously though, I need that shirt in my life right now.
Appreciate it! Unfortunately, I’m a fat boy Tomos fan, & need a 2xl :( I’ll still order one, because I bugged so much about it, but it’ll likely become a seat cover for an old Maxi .
Can you do more videos for different scenarios I would love to see different situations and how you would handle them
Feeling encouraged! Thank you! 🙏

I have his and her moppeds in NJ Peugeot TSM and 1O3 . Loads of fun. Got them in Va where we actually got tickets for no registration.
Nice, Peugeot made a good moped. His and hers = top tank and step trough? Or colors?

Great video!
need them music citation
Thx man for the clip grts from belguim
Great video! Love it
Did you know that the founder of Puch was Slovenian his name is Joze puh later Joseph Puch
Is that why for example tomos asked permits to build tomos 2L/3L frames that were based on the puch ms50??
Alot of people call tomos a reproduction of puch
I had the same problem
i bought an ebike but this video is making me wanna buy a moped instead...
There is always next year ;-) we have the new TOMOS Mopeds on our site www.2ndstrokemopeds.com we can ship one to your home.
LOL THIS WAS THE SICKEST THING EVER XD
How much did you pay for these.
Secrets...
200 $ for both , max
That i epic! Makes me want to go buy dead mopeds.
The most fun I’ve had making a video. I’d like to do more of these... maybe make a series?
And now that it started the owner wants more money for it.
That’s the trick, got to pay for it first. Not this instance, but I’ve sold back a bike to the original owner running for more $$$
@@MopedProblems That means that you have to evaluate the moped on the spot and make a decision wether to buy it or not.
No no this is buy “sight unseen” it’s like a challenge. The loser walks home.
