    Bryan as a former electrician I can attest that Klein tools are as good as it gets. I still have and use the Klein tools that I bought in 1982. That bag may be a little pricey but when you figure how many years of use you will get out of it, not so pricey. Thanks for sharing.

      I completely agree. BTW, when I started plumbing they told me that an electrician was just a plumber with his brains knocked out ;-) Just kidding.

    I know Klein’s demographics is for hard-working construction professionals and they may not like this but I ordered the 12” bag to use as a purse. If they made purses then the construction folks could have their bag back. But for now, I think it is fashionable and functional. It is unique. Perfect for CCW and a range bag without looking tactical. Plus the cost is way less than 5.11 or Coach. Bryan, you can delete this post if you think Klein won’t appreciate the unapproved use of the bag. I am still ordering it though.

    I came home one day last year and found a Klein bag FULL of vintage tools that my old man got for me somewhere. When I opened it up, man was I a happy camper with what I had in there (bit braces, bits, all vintage old school stuff). The bag alone would've been enough of a treat.

    I have two Klein bags. My husband and fatter were electricians and they had them. I'm rough on my stuff and needed bags that weren't going to fall apart on me. I have the 12 and 24, and use both as a handbag and overnight bag respectively. They are long lasting, heavy duty bags. They are worth every penny. I have women stop me all of the time wanting to know where I got my bag?

    We use such bags for tools and two for load ratchet straps combined with tools. Straps are heavier than people realize when there are several dozen. Then we also use a very large canvas bag to carry firewood. Best way to move firewood when one can't utilize a cart or dolly.

    Back in the day I had one and my son has it now.. so they are good... HOWEVER, as a plumber you know that most plumbers use a five gallon bucket - as well as concert finishers, electricians, etc. Maybe you should review five gallon buckets. Lol Back in the 70's I worked during the summer I worked as a plumber's helper while in college. Honestly, I never saw a Klein bag until in the mid 80's... people tried them but always went back to five gallon buckets. They last forever because they don't get used.... Just ssying....

    Excellent Klein bag - do they happen to be water proof?

    • @SurvivalOnPurpose
      @SurvivalOnPurpose  6 років тому

      Probably not but fairly water resistant due to the weight of the canvas. Scotchguard ?

    • @williamlinch5718
      @williamlinch5718 6 років тому

      My father just before he passed away 20 years ago had a desert water bag made of very thick canvas which he swore he had made water proof by just getting it very soaked and let it dry in the sun. The fibers shrunk and tightened up so much it repelled water! One way to go is get fresh beeswax or clear candle wax and rub it in - then use a hair dryer on high and melt the wax into the fabric - this can change the color but it is for sure water proof. Scotchguard works but you have to apply it several times.

    Love your show and your reviews, however I have to disagree about Klein tools. I’m a journeyman electrician. Starting my career I bought Klein because I was told they are the best. Over the years I’ve become very wary of their quality. I had roto splits from them, both failed. Two demo screwdrivers, first on the handle broke on the first day of use. Only got the second one because the first was under warranty. The second one broke within about a week. I bought their tool bags, didn’t last a year. Ive had numerous strippers from them, they all fail at the pivot point. I’ve seen a lot of my fellow coworkers, have the same issues! I believe back in the day they where a good quality tool, however I think they cut corners now to make a buck. Side note, I won a similar Klein bag a few years, bottom is not leather, handle fell off. I will say that the linesman are too notch.
