@@Da_ComputerMonster Yeah that was something I was somewhat diasppointed about the whole end of IDW, they seemed determined to erase any and all mysticism from the story; yeah, I know the G1 Cartoon had Unicron be built by an inventor, and made the transformers the creations of the Quintessons, but the other origins, with Prmus and Unicron as Physcal Gods, to me that's just so much better. The design however, that was epic.
G1 Unicron is iconic, but I really love the different interpretations introduced in Prime and IDW where he’s more of an nigh-omnipotent deity whose true form cannot be comprehended.
Seeing Marvel Unicron makes me think that Jack Kirby would’ve been down with the Primus/Unicron origin. It just seems like something he’d write, y’know. Great ranking video as usual, can’t wait to see who’s next.

@@oxcare5 Agreed honestly. He’s a case of “ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Armada didn’t change too much of his design and IDW just expanded on the existing principles of his design. A variation of his classic look will always be my favorite
What I like about prime is that the way his forms are depicted from the rock as well as how his energy form "corrupts" megatron with a "rustier" form gives off the feel of "ancient primordial evil being", which at the end of the day is what Unicron is. People shit on the brown color scheme but it makes him feel like an ancient machine god.
When Prime dd it Unicron being Earth was an interesting concept, that they did quite well with, but even then I was disappointed that it cost us a proper Unicron. When Last Knight did it it was just a cop out to excuse them from having to try, and really? Unicron's too big to do? They actively use a massive approaching planet in this film with Cybertron. It's clear that Transformers the Movie took inspiration from Star Wars, and Unicron's clearly based on the Death Star, if Lucasfilm could pull it off in 1977, Paramount could've done it 40 years later, they didn't want to, that's the truth. Plus after revealing that Earth is literally cyber satan on top of all the s**t that humanity put the Transformers through in the bayverse, particularly after everything the Autobots sacrificed to protect them... yeah Bayverse Earth probably should just die.

You could just tell with one look that he is a primordial chaos being that has indeed aged many eons. Personally my favorite Unicron.

In my school vr game there's a unicron from kiss players and it's not actually him but a cybertronian named redmaw and she's a powerful character revealing him/her when doing the shattered glass shade boss fight and during it him/her gives goalius the dark Star saber and killed sg shade
When it comes to the face I don't like the sharp teeth or the long pointy mustache cause it makes him look less threatening for trying to make him look more eviler that he already is as a planet eating monster of Cybertronian biology.

Y'all did the 01 Studio Cell figure *DIRTY* . It doesn't show the head in some of the promotional material due to copyright, but it does come with one. And in terms of movie accuracy it is the MOST accurate toy, no clumpy backpack like the crowdfunded Hasbro one either.
I feel like they did the one that came out alongside the haslab dirty as I own it and I fucking love it, it is the g1 unicron and theirs so much detail on the inside when you transform it you can see cool details and the head looks sick

My Armada's Unicron's chest cannon broke back in 2007-08. It won't stay retracted. Since it's the part that's most likely to break, I guess I should be grateful it lasted 4-5 years. Was a fantastic toy nonetheless.

One design is missing. The Devil's Due version with Battlebeasts inside, and G. I. Joe going inside with a metal-eating spore made by Cobra-La. Even tfwiki ignores it in their Unicron entry, but I had ready the issues, and the fandom site does mention it. I would put it in the lower brackets.
The worst part about the Bay movies is not the excessive explosions, not the G1-inaccurate designs, not the oversexualization of women (actually that’s pretty bad too), but the fact that they teased Unicron and the Bayverse got cancelled right after. Now we’ll have to wait until this franchise is at a point where it can use Unicron again, and god knows how many years that’s gonna take.

I would have Unicron from Rise of the Beasts on the A list, despite how we love him as a planet eating monster, and not to have anything of being one with Earth. Also, there were so fun fan arts of what he would look like in Bayverse. The fan made sequel to The Last Knight had him to look more like his Prime counterpart. So that goes on the S list.
There is an amazing third part G1 unicorn if you want to see It’s 01 studio cell and it comes in movie poster, actual movie and pumpkin orange as far as colours go

The worst part about the Bay movies is not the excessive explosions, not the G1-inaccurate designs, not the oversexualization of women (actually that’s pretty bad too), but the fact that they teased Unicron and the Bayverse got cancelled right after.
Now we’ll have to wait until this franchise is at a point where it can use Unicron again, and god knows how many years that’s gonna take.
They’d probably have made him the size of a sky scraper.
Even so, that would still be one of the biggest live action Transformers, next to Devastator.

I would have Unicron from Rise of the Beasts on the A list, despite how we love him as a planet eating monster, and not to have anything of being one with Earth. Also, there were so fun fan arts of what he would look like in Bayverse. The fan made sequel to The Last Knight had him to look more like his Prime counterpart. So that goes on the S list.
