Imagine what insane Brain melting music Eklundh and Marco Minnemann could write together His music he wrote for The Aristocrats is insanely difficult to play
@GodSavetheSpleen Thank you for coming to Berlin to the Orwohaus i was waiting for Freak Kitchen to Tour Germany since 2008 the concert was amazing i had a lot of Fun singing Razor Flowers with you guys I am sure a lot of people became Fans of Freak Kitchen that night i hope they buy your CD s I cant wait for Cooking with Pagans Thanks you for this amazing concert
Minnemann is probably the most active Songwriter on the Planet 2012 Soloalbum, 2012 Drummer for Steven Wilson, 2013 Second Album of the Aristocrats. 2013 Project with Tony Levin & Jordan Rudess From where does he get all this inspiration ? Does he ever sleep :) im very happy i discovered him in 2009 he also had a great Band called ILLEGAL Aliens in the 1990 ies
only people who play instruments will probably understand, but the whole thing is based on a normal impuls (the impuls being your foot tapping along) this is a steady beat now for what he plays is something based on indian music (not the american indians) that has a sort of system that goes 1, 1 2, 1 2 3, 1 2 3 4, and so on if you count the amount of chords in the intro you can go like, 1, 1 2, 1 2 3, until you have hit 6 every 1 starts on the impuls of the steady beat
Shame on me I've finally stumbled upon this video. FML where the fuck I've been !!! This is mind blowing...this rythm is making me to brake stuff :D heavier than Meshuggah.
Petrucci is my fav. but I wish he used TT system :D and do a duo with "IA". The stuff they'd write together would be the ultimate pseudo-mind blowing heavy brain grinding death shredding music in the whole universe. And yes...about the echelon part I can't agree more with you ;) +1
Matthias is pretty damn musical (for a former drummer ;) here he is shredding some Beethoven nIRRbW-Ce5U see also Hellborg's Art Metal Lb7wFbOHjAk the end is a frigging freight train!
lol - that is some bs - he, petrucci and a very few others are in the top echelon of musical capabilities, they mastered their art !!! - and believe me - they do not think in that narrow minded category of killing each other (i am sure IA has better things to do than to think "i guess i am better than ...." ) !!!
This band just defies comparison, and logic. Just incredible. Check out the song "See you in Pittsburgh", off their 1st album. Simply brilliant.
I was there. I love Freak Kitchen. I love Land of the Freaks. I love Murder Groupie. I loved the show. I am about to cry.
Never Heard Of These Guys...But...I Like That Simple Retro Metal Sound....& It`s Nice To See A Band That Hasn`t Givin' Up On The Hair...Rock On....
ta,taka, takite,takatimi,takitenatun,takitetakite

I was there. Funniest show I've ever seen!
Never get bored listening to this song!
It's like 'pre-djent' djent!!!
Be, be my, be my mur, be my murder, be my murder group, be my murder groupie!
One of the best bands that I've heard...

The chord progression in this intro is sooo Meshuggah-ish, but about 4 notes higher ;P Awesome song.
AMAZING
Practise makes perfect.
