@@St1ckyGrapethere are those who exist on HBomberguy time, such as Sam O'Nella Academy, Down the Rabbit Hole, CGP Grey, TierZoo, and Shaun, but you know when you see that new video that, just like Harry, it's about to be some fire 🔥🔥🔥
Kendrick said “Joel HALE Osteen”. That was to show it’s intentional that he’s confusing the 2 names, which plays into the theme of not knowing who he’s battling.
I listened to Section 80 finally as a result of this beef, and unlike a lot of records in those transitional years of hip hop, it holds up really well. I don't think enough people talk about Kendrick's first album, as it was before his big break.
"I didn't point down enough, today I'll show you I learned from those mistakes" This bar is harder than anyone even talks about. He's saying that his friend showed him how to takes shots at Drake, but he didn't listen. He shot too high and went over Drake's head. Now, he'll do it right, and aim for the headshot. People think he's saying he's gotta take low shots, which is true, but it's also saying that he's been taking shots that went over Drake's head.
I'm glad people are going back and analyzing the tracks in context. A lot of what Kendrick predicted actually came true, showing just how well extremely well planned this really was. He took some time to strategize, but when he set things in motion it was absolutely surgical.
1:26:00 I think Kendrick Intentionally mixed up the names, Haley Joel Osman and Joel Osteen because if you go to the previous line he says, "Am I battling Ghost or AI" .. He doesn't know his opponent, he's confused so he's confusing the names.. Clever Boy 🧐
Also listen to how he pronounces Joel Osteen - it sounds like "Jo-Hale Osteen". He's using Osteen to fit into the rhyme scheme with "off him" but he's clearly trying to reference both people and fit them into one bar
I don’t think Kendrick is confused, but I think he is asking a question to Drake and the audience as well, for them to ponder and then answer the question on their own.
To answer your question about Melly having a phone... It's very easy these days to get smartphones while incarcerated. Some guys will have literal stores in their cells. They'll lay out 10-15 phones for you to choose from. They'll even have iPhones, Galaxies, Pixels etc
The TMZ footage is from a civilian getting beaten up by Drake's security because he wouldn't leave the bathroom so that Drake could use it alone. I couldn't find a link to it but I've seen it referenced elsewhere. His security is really dirty - there are tons of instances of them beating people up etc.
Euphoria: "with the hopes of being accepted" Family Matters: "who really bang my set, my ni---- YG" The Pop out concert: *a YG set* broooo you can't make this up, this is poetic justice😭
With everything now revealed and Drake's lies exposed, Euphoria stands out as an astonishingly prophetic track. Kendrick really did see how all of this would play out.
Things no one else but me seemed to pick up on in K-Dot’s Euphoria song: 1. The Wiz came out in 1978. So did Superman The Movie. 2. The creators of Superman: Jerry Seigel & Joe Shuster are both Canadian Jewish Americans. 3. Clark Kent is an act of Superman and Drake is an act of Aubrey Graham.
Joe Budden was critical about “Views”on Everyday Struggle (the pod he had w/ Akademiks and Nadeska)…Drake got butt-hurt Joe felt the album wasn’t his best work so he started trolling Joe. That’s how the beef started.
“cut throat business, you got ish twisted.” In Hip Hop, battle rapping for supremacy is and always will be a big part of rap. Drake catching feelings because Kendrick dares to challenge him.
1:20:25 "n**** feelin' like Joel Hail Osteen" can be interpreted to play on the fact that Osteen is regarded as a preacher but in the next line when Kendrick says "funny he was in a film called A.i." Kendrick is also referring to Osteen being a conniving preacher. Osteen faking his intelligence and love of God, in front of a camera for the world to see. Aligning both Drake and Osteen as actors, he brings "Haley Joel Osment", a credited actor, name to attention to play with the line "am I battling ghost or A.i" . In it totality "Am I battling Ghost or A.i. n**** feelin' like Joel Osteen Funny, he was in a film called A.I. And my sixth sense is telling me to off him" Are enforcing his previous statement where Kendrick brought Drake's ghost writers to the forefront. "Bring 'em out too, I'll clean 'em out too" showing off his word play at an elite level. So while Kendrick is "confused" on who he's fighting, everyone is confused on how to fight him because "They can't imitate this violence"
I'm so happy BEAM was talked about because majority of folks would not know who that is so I know this flew over multiple heads 1:19:58. One of my favorite up and coming artists.
It must be said in case it hasn't, that the Parkinson line was addressed. The sopranos character he referenced never stops shaking. Kendricks artistic expression is projected by his neurodivergence(he's bipolar & has adhd) He doesn't only embody his craft in language, he embodies every part of any art he creates. For example: His entire response series is based on 5 Feelings: calm,Euphoria, unease, fear, and love. Did you notice that while this was happening EVERYONE went through those exact feelings? He's healed neuro. His brain is different in the most important way possible at the most prominent time. This is biblical💯
I see a lot of people who don't listen to J.Cole miss the primary meaning of the "I got a Benjamin and a Jackson all in my house like I'm Joe ok" bar... Remember the context of Euphoria is J. Cole dropped 7 minute drill dissing Kendrick then Drake did Pushups and Taylor Made where Drake asked for a quintuple entendre -something he don't even understand. Kendrick starts by saying "I ain't worried about no reaper, n***a I'm reaping what I sow ok." -this is a reference to J.Cole sneak dissing him on his verse on Johnny P's Caddy where Cole says 'you'll feel the wrath of the reaper'... So the next bar he addresses his two sons, J.Cole and Drake saying: "I got a Benjamin and a Jackson all in my house like I'm Joe ok!" It's a legit quadruple entendre (also Drake didn't understand it) at minimum, here are the meanings: 1. Benjamin Button (J. Cole -see his verse from Crocodile Tears saying he's Benjamin Button getting younger as the hours pass) and Michael Jackson (Drake claimed this on First Person Shooter). That makes Kendrick their father (Joe) and his house is hip hop. 2. Ben the pet rat and MJ in Joe Jackson's house (who was abusive to MJ) 3. Benjamin Harrison and Andrew Jackson in the White House where Joe Biden lives (the paintings of the former presidents in the White House) 4. US currency $100 Bill (Benjamin Franklin) and $20 (Andrew Jackson) -obvious bar saying he's got stacks
1:14:38 the not liking women because he likes girls thing makes sense but I genuinely just think it's like you said where he's talking about Meg and also just Drake being misogynistic in general
The Joel is teen bar I got perfectly. He’s not saying the child actor is LIKE Joel osteen he’s saying int he rap drak is feeling like the preacher Joel and then he switches to say the boy actor who played in the sixth sense.

BUM!!! Now he got kendrick out here writing bars with 8 different meanings to it 🥶
@1:20:38 I think Kendrick mashed the names together on purpose because he says Joel Hale Osteen and not Joel Osteen or Haley Joel Osment. By mashing the names he's able to make references to inauthenticity, ghostwriting, and Taylormade (AI) in only 4 bars instead of having to set them up separately and it being 8 ort 12 bars
He missed the Michael Jackson reference, in the song “the way you make me feel” Mike says “I like the groove of your walk, your talk, your dress” Kendrick just flipped it to hate

The biggest thing I appreciate is that Kendrick didn’t take the low road and call drake gay. Kendrick has been really good about queer issues and I was scared that he might take that route since it’s been a prevalent narrative. It’s something that drake himself wasn’t above calling The Weeknd gay on family matters.

Wait wait I have to point out an obvious mistake: around the 1 hr 24 min mark he says that Kill Bill fight scene happens in a Chinese restaurant, but that's wrong. That whole section of the movie takes place in Japan.
Just to add to the Japan bit, the name of the restaurant is called Gonpachi and the interesting part is there's a blu-ray disc version of the movie in a glass case near the room where the fight scene took place.
I think the Kill Bill allusion is pretty on point, as the song references multiple movies and TV shows and is named after a TV show. Kendrick is putting on a show in this song. I'm sure there are even more media references hidden in here. Something not discussed in the video is that the first example on the cover is about a "dangerous drug", which lends credence to the Kill Bill connection. The Chinese restaurant one might be reaching a bit, but I'm kind of obsessed with the image of Kendrick Lamar in the Bruce Lee motorcycle outfit throwing Drake's ghostwriters around in Toronto 😂😂😂.

It was 17 and stop. He started on an 18th and then didn't go through with it 😂😂😂. Diabolical play by Kendrick, since that's about where Drake stops as well 💀💀💀.
Isn't it kind of like how polite adults talk about kids? Young man, young woman... even to children this is said sometimes. Though I get why one would feel weird about it
Teddy Pendergrass is a play on the tv show Degrass Pen 🖊️ Degrass the pen is mightier than the sword. Teddy 🧸 soft like children just another minor theme. Soft ass to grass is what Kendrick is saying with the sample 😂 Bur seriously it also ties into the fact Teddy Pendergrass was also in a wheelchair due to an accident and Drakes character Jimmy brooks was also in a wheelchair so that is the main theme wirh the sample. Drake is an actor he isnt real. The person under that mask is Aubrey but he has an identity disorder.
People seem to miss that the Benjamin and Jackson line is also about the White House. Joe Biden lives in a house with portraits of a Benjamin (Harrison and Franklin) and a Jackson (Andrew)
His channel is really good! I understand why it takes so long for his videos to release because the research is extensive.

Isn't it kind of like how polite adults talk about kids? Young man, young woman... even to children this is said sometimes. Though I get why one would feel weird about it
47:12 😂😂😂 lmfao yoooo
I love Derapy’s break down as well. Check him out. He’s a Drake fan with honest view of the beef.
“What are these little hands?!” 🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀 please be serious
Teddy Pendergrass is a play on the tv show Degrass
Pen 🖊️ Degrass the pen is mightier than the sword.
Teddy 🧸 soft like children just another minor theme.
Soft ass to grass is what Kendrick is saying with the sample 😂
Bur seriously it also ties into the fact Teddy Pendergrass was also in a wheelchair due to an accident and Drakes character Jimmy brooks was also in a wheelchair so that is the main theme wirh the sample. Drake is an actor he isnt real. The person under that mask is Aubrey but he has an identity disorder.
"When was this?" Damn you old 😂. Okay Auntie Bri
People seem to miss that the Benjamin and Jackson line is also about the White House. Joe Biden lives in a house with portraits of a Benjamin (Harrison and Franklin) and a Jackson (Andrew)
Kendrick would be a great attorney 😊
She needs to do Asmr or commercial or smth. Her voice is so pretty!☺️☺️☺️
She has a bubbly aura...which is needed
17:12 The long middle finger 😂
if the business is true, kendrick might be a legit psychopath
Welcome back!
Drake also didn’t understand Mr. Morale. Please don’t be like him.
@48:12 the slaughterhouse vs young money era was crazy but not mainstream crazy. Probably because Eminem and lil Wayne sat it out
21:55 right because he was tryna look like smino so bad
demon is another song future made
