Every L Style Fantom video you do makes me even more excited to try out the Fantoms for myself; I have some Harrows supergrip stems and some L Style carbon stems ready to try the Fantoms on. Thanks for this video and ALL the videos you do, they are quite helpful when I am on the fence about trying a new products. 👌🎯
I have been using Condor Axe small standard for more than a year. Now I am using the K Flex and I love the way it glide. Just got my Winmau Fusion and still to try it. Can't wait for the Lstyle Fantom with the spinning shaft Thanks for the nice comparison video.
The Fantom definitely allow more people to try the rigid moulded flights. You can use whatever stems you want including spinners. That's a game changer for many players... especially here in the USA where it seems like everyone uses them
Here in the UK there are some L Style Kite shaped flights which l have recently purchased .Colours are plain Red Blue and Black only at the moment but l am very impressed with them . They differ from the standard ones you have with a cut out in the flight rather than the built in cap but they work for me. They seem to be very durable and are around 7 US dollars £5.50. I use the Bulls carbon NL shafts and they grip the L Style flights well. Loving the videos. Keep em coming.
Worldwide; great review. I have 3 sets of the Winmau fusion flights on order to try, and I'm really interested in the L-style fantom's. I have a couple sets of the Condor Axe flights that I currently use, but they are pretty expensive. Thanks and keep the videos rolling.
Thanks Mike. I'm liking the prices of the newly released flights. The Fusion, K-Flex and the Fantom's. It's going to force Condor to make some price adjustments I think.
Thanks world wide appreciate your input the stem part is where its at great comparison i think personally my stems are inbetween short and intermediate so definetley more interested in the l style already got condors
Nice comparison. My actual darts are the Mission Occult (25g). As I keep ar least 1 finger on the point I put on the black Mission Sniper points, but... big mistake! I had to use quite some strength to pull them out the board. I realized that I had better results with the Condor Axe than with the original shaft/flight. As I only had the neon yellow flights which looked horrible on the barrel, I ordered the Red Dragon Raptor GT gripped points silver and the black Condor Axe. Wow! May not as beautiful as the original setup but I had better results immediately. So for me I'll stay with the Condor Axe.
Since I use x-short stems there is no real contest between these two. I use normal folded flights at the moment because they are cheap and I have had problems with L-styles ripping from the root but these Fantoms look like they are more durable so might give them a try. Good and informative video.
Very nice critical review. Personally I am a fan of the Condor Axe and have yet to break one. If it does ever break or tear another complete set would need to be purchased and as you mentioned these are very expensive. I do like the vast array of colors and shapes available. One other thing you didn’t mention was the groves on the shaft to help guide the point of an incoming dart, I do like that feature. I Now for the Fantom’s. I have always liked L-Style products and have used them for years. These new Fantom’s are the best offering they have ever produced. I do like the fact that you can use any nylon or carbon shaft including more possibilities for shaft length. I tend to always use intermediate length shafts so this is still not a deal breaker for the Condor Axe. The Fantom’s are flight and integrated stem cap only for $11. Depending on the shaft you use, say a Harrows super grip carbon that will add about $5 to the total cost. Honestly I would use either system interchangeably. For now I am sticking with the Condor Axe.
Great video! Good thing when i switched from L style spinners to condor axe i kept all my old stems, ill be able to try out the fantoms without re-buying spinner stems!
Awesome video as always. And maybe u sold those lstylez to me because of the spinners. I use harrows clic and love it. Maybe now i will switch to lstyle
@@WorldwideDarts alright, I think L-Style allows for better customization and better shafts. My Axes are a year old, they fly well but are not so good to hold as a rear gripper
@@WorldwideDarts I actually have spinners on a few sets (well, not counting Cosmo set ups, I have spinners on most, made an accidental purchase lol), but never used moveable points! & always preferred cricket, especially at the bar.
My condors have yet to fail me. I enjoy seeing new stuff and picking them up, but I can’t imagine changing my match darts 👍🏻 These seem to be for people who like changing colors and all that. I’m not into it. I’ll throw any color as long as it’s at a triple or double lol
Am very interested in what the pros use. I like the L Styles just because you can change up the stems and make more color combos and adjust weight and length
Spot on! A lot more variety and options with the L-Style. I've always been fascinated with the equipment that Americans use though. They love spinners yet at the same time they've been almost non existent in the pro ranks since forever.
Hmm, I’ve never used spinners before, but maybe with a rigid moulded flight, you you MIGHT have an argument that it could reduce the severity of flight on flight deflections. In any case, as a regular LStyle user I’m eagerly waiting for them to drop a kite or pear version of these.
I’m currently using axes, love their durability. I tried the l-style EZ but did have a couple of Robin Hood’s in the built in champagne ring (points too short). I resolved it by using the pros with metal champagne rings. Do you think the fusions are rigid enough to prevent a Robin Hood or will they crack upon a direct hit from a sharp point?
I did a review on the Fantom's not too long ago. In that video I said it would be impossible to robinhood them unless someone was using the world's sharpest points. Sharp points are no good by the way. The prematurely damage the dartboard. Not only do they chew up the spider and cause more bounce outs they also tear up the sisal quicker. 0/10 recommend sharp points. You want a more rounded point like a Target Storm
Been a L style fan for ages definitely getting some fantoms maybe they could incorporate the champagne rings into them what l use l always press My flights on the way back from throwing never lost a flight God l wish I could throw like you Great WWD
@@MrMJkingofpop94I found the same with the LStyle carbon. They started out blue and are now completely black as I’ve stripped the paint off with so many deflections and yet otherwise they may as well be brand new. Teammate the other week broke 3 poly stems in 4 darts thrown. Like…why even bother?
Never been a fan of spinners, just don’t see it. As far as stems, nylon and carbon tend to hit the floor and snap quite often, so that’s an issue, even though nylons are cheap. I always use a short shaft so changing is not a thing I worry about. Like you when my throw slows down some times I like to switch to my Condor wings and speeds up my throw. So for now Condor and K-Flex are my go to and in December Target is adding more colors that will make more options.
Yeah, I honestly don't understand the obsession with spinners here in the USA but there's no denying the popularity of them. It was just a best guess that 70% of the players here use them but I don't think I'm far off. It could very well be a 60-40 split but I would 100% say that more people use spinners than not. Oddly enough, the worlds best players that we've seen on tv over the years with the BDO, PDC and now with the Modus Super Series... spinners are pretty much non existent. Just goes to show that a player can put up 90-100+ averages without them. If they don't need them I can't find any reason why I would need them at my lesser of a standard. I find the difference in darting cultures fascinating.
I have not. You'd definitely have to pry the prongs apart to get them to fit. I'm also not sure if it would cause the flights to split with it being that tight.

Yeah, don't see why not.
