3:33 @abudaabi and I guess @andrew"the_demi_god"huang .. Great shout on bitwig first, it does literally anything you tell it,, to whatever you tell it, lol, afik. Wish I'd taken the time out to really learn it. Pretty intimidating when you just want to combine 2 midi controller values and send them to a filter for example. Max5 used to solve similar weaknesses in DAW's and plugins too as I remember but again , it always felt a little over my pay grade tbh ;( . However .... U-He A.C.E. has limits for sure but it was my way into understanding modular c/v's etc and it has 2 "combinators" with 4 inputs each. So powerful for such a "little brother" type soft synth. I love the ability to combine signals like that because it almost always brings a magical moment of unexpected joy (eventually). Keeping ourselves excited and inspired is everything right? That said, THANK YOU SO MUCH Andrew! You are an endless fountain of magic and wonderment. Inspiring doesn't come close! I still watch the harmonic series video every month or so as a reminder. So clearly put. Mind Blown!
It’s the editing. The editing is annoying. The only thing with Andrew Huang is, he does it all and he does it good. Can’t stand that. And yes 👍 again 😭
I have Pigments And when I try to log in to register it on a new computer because my old one broke, it says error with email. I can't find a phone number to contact the support team. and when it says contact technical support, it says I'm suppose to log in first but obviously with my email not working I can't do that. Can you help at all?
Well, if you sometimes feel the need for an actual analog synth, such as the MFB Dominion 1 (which I have... but most of the time these days I just play around with Arturia's stuff, including the Pigments 2)
I just want to let you guys know that Pigments is a great VST plugin, it sounds warm, it has inspiring sounds and I'm I owning keyboards and synths since the year 2000. i don't like all VST plugins allot sound death but not this one.
Wow - you make some killer sounds with this thing. I'm honestly very new to this kind of thing and it seems this would have a tremendous learning curve. Is there somewhere I could learn the basics (generally) and learn how to use this to my advantage?
Two things. Thank me later: 1. Learn the hell out of serum 2. If u have extra time, but syntorial. We use it as usc as the learning synth. If not, then learn the hell out of serum. It takes time but you’ll love it
Dolce Far Niente this is the question. I wanted to try the synth but every patch has already a ton of modulation on it. I want a clean setting where I can try every bit of the synth.

The filter is one of the best ive heard on a softsynth. Especially the SEM filter i belive it was. One of them is very smooth very similar to moog filters
Andrew, you are one of the best at explaining these sorts of things. Very natural & knowledgeable. And very personable. Well done.
#respect to both Arturia and Andrew 😊 ! You're great!
The sample used as of 2:55 sounds like taken from Blade Runner sound track
Pretty cool and all, but can you play Smoke on the water?

Revisit after the launch of 3. Still good!
The Pigments 3 update is what finally convinced to buy this synth
Absolutely worth it!
really well laid out synth! Felicitations Arturia! Superbe design!

01:10 where my Duck Game bro's at
Great explanation of Sample and Hold modulation
A tutorial on creating that string patch would be excellent...
How the fuck does pigments sound so good?
best VST synth
Andrew...massive X or Pigments?. Although I understand they might have a different purpose. But still....your take on it?

Most synths have sample and hold, and the combine is common on synths too as macros
probably gonna be trading Serum for Pigments
Serum is overrated and Pigments has more functionality.
3:33 anything in bitwig can do that combination of modulation signals you referring to
Can anyone tell me why in the world we still need hardware synth?

If you open the preset browser, you'll find under the "Template" type a preset called "Default", that's a good starting point.
Fantastic advice, thanks a lot!

this was really well done, thank you :)
