Besides the fact that the properties you show are generally beautiful (and WAY out of my price range), what makes these videos special is your genuine enthusiasm for the history of these old places. When you reach out to caress a particularly beautiful piece of stonework, or express your appreciation for the people who've lovingly restored the property you're showing us...well, it's fabulous. How was your trip to Puglia? That's where my family is from, but so far I haven't found anybody showing properties there who can even compare to you. Anyway, thank you so very much for helping me continue to dream of going back to my roots someday.

Beatiful pool and smoll dressing room ( perfect for a little kitchen too). The guest House is not finish, but is charmy us a new project. The main house have a good use of the sun light, special in the rooms. The NZ group of Islands are well-marketed photographers wait for days to take 'one shot', lack of sunshine hours, and if it weren't for the indigenous people NZ would be another British Is. Minimum stay four to six weeks. Do study the flora and fauna prior and start with Vit D. The mosquitos around the South Island are as hungry as the Scandinavian ones, especially in Summer which is the best season unless you are a skier. Join an Airline points system, it's worth it for the miles, add a stopover of two days halfway unless you're a fan of thrombosis or have short legs economy leg space is sparse. Save the purgatives for after landing, there isn't much space in planes these days for any form of exercise. Remember to pack clothing, four seasons dress code "like an onion" raincoat a must! don't bother with umbrellas, they have a very short life span. French doors are called porte francesi in Italian. I see nothing wrong in calling them french doors, it sounds so much nicer to me than double doors. They are called french doors in Britain, the USA, Italy and who knows where else. France and Italy were at war in the 16th or 17th century and France used a lot of Italian architectural ideas and voila! we have French doors 🤗
Hi Nick- we’ve been watching your videos for a while now. They are very informative. What I think would be helpful is seeing whatever the nearby village is and it’s relationship to the house you may be selling . The views are always great but sometimes it’s hard to understand the relationship to a village without actually seeing it. Also… do you think you could also give the dimensions in feet and miles along with meters and kilometers for those of us that follow you in the USA? Thanks, Bob

1.5 mil with 8 hectares, absolute bargain! Only thing I would change immediately is the lack of ceiling fans! No fans and no A/C (obviously, cos they’re horrible) means you’re gonna die in the summer! Great video Nick, many thanks.
Serious house this for the money and a superb finish by the restorer. Lots of scope in that downstairs floor too. Just imaginea pergola on that upstairs terrace!!!. Question though would a house this size use a lot of lpg? Obviously depending on usage etc but interested in comparison to an oil tank setup. Cheers!
Nick, another stunning property. Most importantly, based on its well stocked refrigerator , a great home for the entire family. Your appreciation for the simplicity of the truly ancient features, flooring, beams, stone walls as well as the local flora, speaks to what was relevant to the earliest Italians. Thinking about how these properties morphed, over the generations, if the livestock only knew their living quarters with the 3 feet stone walls were transformed into magnificent living rooms, kitchens , and bedrooms, all to be featured in a one take property tours. Hi nick big thanks for the tour and showing your face, I’ve watched a few of your videos now and have to say i do like this one, it just feels right and has the right mix of detail and space. Getting use to the very rustic minimalism decor and antiquated furniture to take you back to a timeless era with absolutely scenic views to die for.. if i won the lotto this would be one of my favs. Although i would like to Add a little more modern feel inside with future. You may scream and say nooooo what are you thinking of bless, is Italian law allowing for adding more modern features and architecture or does it always stipulate you have to live in the 17th century style although gorgeous could you add marble and modern kitchen etc

Seriously nice property. One thought occurs, Nick, with these rural properties in Italy, set in gorgeous woodland - how common are forest fires in these regions? Climate change and all that.
A very nice restoration and I agree, very well priced for the quality. I'm curious what typical selling prices vs asking are in that part of Italy? 10%-20% lower? Full asking? Great channel - it's almost a Tuscan travel blog site with so many locations. A quick vid of driving around the areas sure would be nice to get a feel of where these properties are. Curious why addresses aren't given? And it would be nice if you could update if the property sold or not, plus a direct link to the property in the description rather than a link to your home page. Would be interesting to hear about your 5 years as a contractor - did you do reno's on these old piles?

We love your presentations, but why not tell us the price up front? What is that hesitation? For me the price is the most important aspect of such a purchase. Hi nick big thanks for the tour and showing your face, I’ve watched a few of your videos now and have to say i do like this one, it just feels right and has the right mix of detail and space. Getting use to the very rustic minimalism decor and antiquated furniture to take you back to a timeless era with absolutely scenic views to die for.. if i won the lotto this would be one of my favs. Although i would like to Add a little more modern feel inside with future. You may scream and say nooooo what are you thinking of bless, is Italian law allowing for adding more modern features and architecture or does it always stipulate you have to live in the 17th century style although gorgeous could you add marble and modern kitchen etc

The problem is the exterior. Lot's of planning regulations. Almost impossible to build a modern building in the countryside. Internally you can do really what you want. Hope this helps. Best regards, Nick.

Great channel - it's almost a Tuscan travel blog site with so many locations. A quick vid of driving around the areas sure would be nice to get a feel of where these properties are. Curious why addresses aren't given?
And it would be nice if you could update if the property sold or not, plus a direct link to the property in the description rather than a link to your home page.

It all depends if it's a selling or buying market, how long the property has been on the for sale and if the sellers are motivated to sell. Every house is different. The greatness of your videos is that you are not the typical realtor. We love your presentations, but why not tell us the price up front? What is that hesitation? For me the price is the most important aspect of such a purchase. Don’t be afraid, I won’t switch off with mention of price.
