  • This is the rummage of all rummages. I love it and I'm sure for those of you that love Italian property, Italian history and the thrill of unbelievable unexpected finds, then this is the Italian Property video tour for you.
This 16th century Palazzo in Tuscany is absolutely, in my view, just amazing. It's not on our website but I will tell you right now the asking price is €1,150,000, to include most of the furniture. The incredible thing about the Italian property is its uniqueness. There's a room which hasn't been touched for 60 plus years. Yes, I know I made a mistake on the video but it really doesn't matter. When do you get to see a room that hasn't been cleaned for this amount of time! Full of Historical Treasures, original floors and doors, beautiful ceilings, the list just goes on and on.
This Italian property, in my view, is totally awesome!
I really enjoyed shooting this "One Take Italian Property Tour". Hopefully not too much huffing and puffing, but it was hot. If you need any further information just comment or email.
It's a long one, so open the Chianti Classico, slice the salami, get the olives and sit back and enjoy.
To our fallen heroes of WW2. Please take a moment to read this. Thank you.

I had the pleasure of staying here about 15yrs ago. A friend had rented out the entire estate for his birthday celebration. Absolutely incredible property. The owner took us on a tour of the library and her grandfather's laboratory, which was unreal. There were also some turtles on the grounds that were over 100yrs old that she played with when she was a child.

What an amazing location for a celebration. This property really tugs at my heart in such a delightful way. I'm not a chemist, but am a holistic product innovator, and I can completely see myself living here, working here, and entertaining and hold personal development retreats here. While I love the Italian countryside, this small village with its history are truly glorious. I love your job, too, Nick!

What a marvelous house. Yes, the electrics need doing, but you could move in tomorrow. With a live in housekeeper/cook you would never need to leave your home. Apart from a potter around the garden when you felt like it and a dip into the pool likewise.
This house is the house dreams are made of.

Nick, that one was very special - a time capsule! It's a shame it will be changing families as their love is woven into the fabric of the place. I only hope this home receives the respect and care it deserves from the next owner.

Some of the bathrooms need to be completely updated, but the others should be minimally updated to preserve the historical feel. The showers could use retiling, but that's all I would do.

This was such a beautiful tour of an "out of a dream" house. As an American I am so thrilled that nothing is painted grey! I feel as other subscribers might, that our modern world has lost a lot. This home,in particular, is so full of

That "bubble" in the window glass is what is commonly referred to as a "bullseye" to people in the preservation field. And the bathrooms are LOVELY. Updating them would be a travesty!

D.L. - I wouldn't remodel the bathrooms, either - except- the showers, themselves: They look out of place, and a bit cheap, compared, esp. to the rest of the residence, and furnishings!

Thank you very much for showing this excepional house! So typically Italian in all its features. It would be great if the new owners decided to keep it as it is with little change.
For us Italians Monterchi is famous for a unique painting by Piero della Francesca. It is called Madonna del parto and Piero painted it in a local church to celebrate his mother who came from this village. It is one of the most beautiful and moving paintings ever. Just the idea to own a house in that very place is mind-blowing. Thank you again!

The story, the laboratory etc it is just stunning. I would only purchase if the lab areas came complete..then I would lock it away until warm weather and hold small dinners in the garden with tours of the place and of course a story teller on the tour. Yap, agree - the rummage of rummages, especially the ancient lab. Untouched for really ages, unbelievable! Being a scientist myself, the lab section thrilled, excited and mesmerized me totally. I could stroll there around for days, if not weeks. And all those books; and the Terracotta stoves - never seen them before. And these ancient Terrcotta floor tiles - I adore them as much as you do.
Ya, that was worth watching, really a "Whopper"

The architecture is sublime and those terra cotta floors are imbue3d with the footsteps of hundreds of years...so much character.

Wow on too many levels. First that place was big enough to house an army regiment. I would love to know how many iterations of the interior happened since it was built. I understand the sentimental value of the fathers lab and study, I can’t imagine leaving it undisturbed for 60 years. The palazzo as stated is worth more than the asking price, however the new owner will likely incur multiple hundreds of thousands to update the electrical, heating, etc. Nick this was truly a special opportunity look inside an original palazzo . Thank you.

Outstanding house. I was so relieved to hear that the lab was sold intact, I hope it will be going to a historical society of some type. That being said, I would update the bathrooms and electrical (if it doesn't cause disruption to the walls or floors, I wouldn't want to lose a single tile!). The lab would actually be the perfect place for a master suite with a bedroom, bath and closet (keeping in style with the house). I would change everything but the character/structure are superb. Cul de sac, and parking! I adore this servant pull ropes in bedroom 1. What a throw back that is! A wide enough staircase for moving huge furniture in, and out. I am loving this! And the history. The coat of arms would stay for sure. And the kitchen! Oh, my. Fantastico! This is so quintessentially Italian! The garden -- heavenly. I'm a holistic practitioner and product innovator, so the chemist history resonates! That laboratory, emptied with the furniture and cupboards left, or replaced with excellent taste, would be perfect for my European lab. It's a privilege to have toured this with you! I can actually 'see' myself living here. And live in space for housekeeping couple. Nick, this is just ASTONISHING. And right in town. This one really suits. I'm in love. Thank you for breaking a sweat for us on this one. It would make a great stand alone retreat center as part of my educational programs.

This place took my breath away, it's just my absolute dream. Would love to stay there, the Apothecary. Just wow, wow wow. A library of my very own. I think nearly cried with emotion.

I love this house too. Happy New Year to you. Someone is potentially buying this property and will be turning it into a artists retreat, so you might be able to stay there in the future. Best wishes, Nick.

What a well kept time capsule. Fantastic decor. The living room was like out of Downton Abbey. 💕

Truly wonderful. One of the downsides of subscribing is that I seem to get fed the truly dreadful Italian episodes of "A Place in the Sun". UA-cam just doesn't understand what a gem of a Channel you are providing.

The library with terracotta stove in the middle and the chemist studio ? Absolute gold. Would buy it just for that if I could

It is a lovely property. Like taking a walk through
a museum. One would need help to care for it
I think it is a bit large. Not cozy. I will speak
to my friend about it. Thank you for your great tour.!!

If you’re mad then so am I! It definitely is in the details and this palazzo is full of them! I love the worn terracotta floors-makes me think about those who were there before.

Nothing like like a good enfilade! That chemistry lab is brilliant! It was an honour to see that room. The place is a Tardis! Will dream of swimming in that pool...

I am so happy that a chemist who would truly appreciate the contents of the lab will, I am sure, reverently carry everything away. It would be such a waste otherwise. The old bottles and those labels alone aside from the great old tools and such should be preserved. Thanks for sharing!
