@@AlfredMontbank-m3j Not a dumb question, I also had some trouble. Just make sure the battery is disconnected first (reminder). I think I used a flathead screwdriver to pry it of ever so slightly. Using pliers might also crack it, due to the age of the plastic. Mine was also hard to remove and took some time before I could continue.
Mine was a little different to your video, mostly the same just I had 2 of those 13mm nuts on top of each other and the second one was a bi*** to get off, and the e5 on mine was Philips which was a good thing cos I don’t have an e5 socket 😂😂 a great video though thanks for your help!
Might also depend on the brand of alternator, mine was a reconditioned Bosch. Glad that my video was able to help you out and thank you for your message Waheed!
Amazing video. Super helpful.
Glad I was able to help at least 1 other home mechanic 😀👍
@@NDPhotonl dumb question but i can't seem to remove the dust cap. is there a clip or should i just use pliers to yank it off?

My one is a Bosch unit too. Maybe cos it’s a reconditioned unit that they’ve used new screws? It did greatly help me, thank you
