Breaking Free From The Curse

Today’s Scripture:
2 Kings 8:20-22 NIV
In the time of Jehoram, Edom rebelled against Judah and set up its own king. So Jehoram went to Zair with all his chariots. The Edomites surrounded him and his chariot commanders, but he rose up and broke through by night; his army, however, fled back home. To this day Edom has been in rebellion against Judah. Libnah revolted at the same time.
Esau endured family, but he eventually broke loose from the curse...it would come through his descendants but it came nonetheless. We must understand that The connection to Esau comes from the fact that the Edomites were descendants of Esau, Jacob’s brother. In Genesis 27:40, Isaac, when blessing Esau, foretold that Esau would eventually "break loose" remove the yoke of his brother Jacob from his neck or better said he will no longer remain under his brother's dominance.
Therefore, the prophecy by Isaac was fulfilled when Edom (Esau’s descendants) rebelled against the rule of Judah (Jacob’s descendants). The Edomites breaking free from Judah’s control is a direct fulfillment of Isaac’s words that Esau’s descendants would eventually break free from subjugation. They did. This symbolized and reflected Isaac's word to Esau that he would break loose and run free
Esau did it and so can we. We must first recognize the curse, the habits, the yokes that keeps us bound and keeps us in a certain box or status. We must ask God, ask the holy Spirit to help us to recognize the strongholds, the yokes, the curse, the generational situations that keeps us bound and begin the process of breaking loose from them once and for all. Esau did it and so can you.
Family, there was a timing component to this deliverance that Isaac locked into his prophecy over Esau, he said when you become tired of this role, this curse, this bondage, this lack, you, not your mother or father, you will break loose and run free. When this happens it must be in order with God's word.
