If you want to use fresh meat, cook the meat at home before packing. I have a vacuum sealer. I cook the meat, freeze it, and then vacuum seal it before packing it in my insulated lunch bag with anything else I want to keep cool. I figure cooked red meat should be good at least a 3-4 days without refrigeration. My rule… if it’s hot and/or humid, go somewhere else. Cooking it also reduces the weight. I’m usually able to resupply every couple of days. If I was to go somewhere I couldn’t resupply every couple of days, or if I was on foot, that’s when I would pack the freeze dried food. I’ve gone from bike, to eBike, to motorcycle. I’m now 67 with congestive heart failure. It’s all great fun!

Just watched a few of your videos, some great ideas for Trangia cooking. One technique I found from another UA-camr (I forget unfortunately which one) is to add a small strong magnet to the lid of the Trangia so you easily lift it off the heat with something like a metal spoon, rather than needing a glove.

Try some dried mushrooms. They’re easy to carry and rehydrate quickly. I’ve enjoyed using them in my Trangia dishes. Thanks for the videos.

Thanks. My mate said I should get a dryer the other day actually. Maybe I'll give it a go.

Put left over into ziplock bag . If it's same day then there will be no issues eating it later.
Boil hot water and dunk it and heat it up .

Hi - for cooking a pomodoro/red sauce would you not use an aluminum pan? I understand the acidity of tomatoes can have a negative reaction with aluminum. Wondering what you would use to cook a red sauce.

Hey, where have you gone? More importantly, I hope you're well. I've been looking out for your videos but have not seen any for nearly a year. I sound selfish and I hope you're ok. If you've just given up on the channel then it's cool.

Hello mate. Appreciate the concern and am happy to report I'm doing fine. I'm also happy to report I've spent my time and money over the past years sorting my truck for camping and buying a tonne of camping gear. The last piece of the puzzle is a camp dog who I'm picking up on Monday, then the videos will start flowing!

That's how it's done. People eating those freeze dried food bags are pitiful. A tip: embrace spanish food. So much too notch chark and tapas in general. Cod fish, fresh vegetables.
    Cheers.

    Why take garlic out?

Can't remember. I think in this case it didn't cook through in time. I kept it whole to stop it burning but to get the flavour, but took it out as it was too firm for my taste.
