I had the same problem. May be when projector working, it hot and the black piece on color wheel had gone, sensor cant read signal, and i resolved with a black tape

I have a optoma eh1020, red light blinks when switched on then fan comes on full blast and no picture then turns off. The lamp was new with 60 hrs use

The black tape on the color wheel fell off and the sensor can't detect it, just put a black tape on it
