Meet Ajitha
Ajitha, an 11th-grade student from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is a transgender student who achieved the first prize in a Tamil Nadu level mono-act competition. This success led her to participate in a Malaysian trip organized by the Tamil Nadu state government.
Originally from Palakkad, Ajitha's family faced challenges due to societal pressures, particularly surrounding intercaste marriage, leading to threats from her father's relatives. Unfortunately, Ajitha's father passed away due to illness, and her mother encountered numerous struggles. To support the family, she initiated a homemade soap oil business and traveled to Coimbatore to sell her products.
While in Coimbatore, due to the COVID situation, they were unable to return to Palakkad. However, with the assistance of the Coimbatore police, they managed to secure a housekeeping job, allowing them to start a new life in the city.
Ajitha, having witnessed these challenging circumstances, developed a strong passion for the police department. She changed her career ambition, aspiring to become an IPS Officer.
