Powered up my glider panel in my driveway and connected to home Wi-Fi. Completed LX updates then using videos checked all settings and configurations, good to go for the season
Hello Dave, I have an LX9000 without wifi, with a FlarmCore connected via cable as described in this video. What is the best way to update the flarmcore? I've tried inserting USB stick to the USB flarm port and powering up the 9000 but that does not seem to update the flarm. The only way I found was to power the flarm independently with the USB stick inserted and the update occurs automatically. Problem is, I don't have the independent Flarm power cable anymore so that option is no longer available... Thanks for any help.
What you have described is the correct procedure. With power off to the 9000, insert the USB stick into the Flarm's USB port, then power on the 9000 which will relay power to the Core. The Core will boot up and find the USB stick with the new file. Wait about 5 minutes and it should be finished. I find it helpful to use a USB stick that has an LED so you can see the USB flashing while it is in use.
