This is the most ridiculous suggestion and should be removed. No credit card wants your card back, and that is definitely opening up for theft.

I just received a replacement for a credit card and it cam with a thick envelope to return the old one. I thought I could burn it or cut it, but I looked here and I'm mailing it back.
