Hi Flying 🐸!! Personally I love the sound of a Cessna 185 at full power, those prop tips approaching the speed of sound make it really sing - hopefully your nearby residents of Biscarosse agree (!😅)…..
Nice job, great camera angles. How about mounting a Go Pro on a float to catch the full spray effect close up? What’s the weight of the float kit, and do Cessna permit a higher max take off weight to compensate, or does it all cut in to your available payload? As for float flying in France, can you comment on where you are permitted to operate - rivers, lakes, sea etc? Keep up the good work 😊
Thanks. Yes I’ll add a GoPro in the float next time. The floats in this particular plane are heavy… with double-wheel main landing gear. That does make it a little heavy, although it can comfortably lift 4-6 people and some bags. Float flying in France is a little limited, but we can open up various seaplane bases with a little prior notice with the authorities.
🙂 Beau spotting
Awesome
Thanks!

Ha ha yes me too… but we actually roll off an inch on the prop condition lever to reduce the noise most of the time, to give the neighbours a break!
@@theflyingfrog in a previous life I flew a Britten Norman Islander - lots of noise x 2!
