- Willy Hernangomez's NBA career started very well but a week ago he left the NBA for Europe. What's the reason behind his decision and why is it a smart one?
Him and his brother both MVP's for team Espania. Taught they would be good for NBA
Keep in mind that the NBA is still an American Owned league they would always prioritize their homegrown talent rather than foreign talent
Juancho Hernangomez, his brother also back to Europe, and play for Panathinaikos, last 2 month before Fiba World cup.
His problem is not the attack or the numbers: he is a liability on defense at the NBA level.
I hear you but I feel like it had to be a bit more than just getting buried on the bench for no team to even sign him to a minimum deal.
Wouldn't be surprised if he told his agent or other clubs that unless he's promised a bigger role he'll reject it anyway and return to Europe. I mean, he is worthy of a spot in the league. Seems to me like he just wanted to get back the love for basketball. I think we'll see him again in the NBA ;)
Too many americans still hate on foreign players. Especially when they are white...Just look at the mvp discussion this year. It was simply crazy

@@EuroHeroes I hope so too. There is too big a bias against foreign players despite the success of Jokic, Doncic, and Giannis.
