I have been doing this for years thousands of deliveries in the Seattle. Area, there are no more orders coming in. Maybe one an hour, but I'll tell you what there is. None English, speaking delivery people everywhere you go and my regulars that I haven't seen in a long time. Said that's because everybody I get can't speak English. Not hard to put that puzzle together😮
Thanks Joe Biden
Same, I was doing an alchohol run and the cashier asked me to help out another DD driver that couldnt speak english, I had to grab the phone from him and scan his bottles for him. I also ordered some groceries to my house 2 times, the 2nd driver wasnt an english speaking dude either. Im seeing more dashers at restaurants that cant speak english. The employees say the immigrants just hold the phone up to the waiters for them to read the screen. Yeah ty Biden.
my cousin had a health worker or smthin at her lecture and brought this up and now that person wnats to sit at the resteraunt my cousin works at 😂
@@danguts2844 They are taking all the $2 runs. They're taking all the runs and you know they're not paying any taxes. And the government gives them vehicles. Driver's license and gas voucher off of our tax money
And Uber Eats went 8 hours. With not one order coming in, and I've been driving for years. That's never happened, usually 4 to 5 offers in an hour. I'm in the seattle area
Hey Mike, I'm a dasher in SE Louisiana. Thank you for all your time and effort. It means a lot!!
Lol. I love your olive branch comment! I have the exact same thought. A week or so after you came out pointing out what was happening. Doordash suddenly started offering peak pay in my area again- after a year or more! Now mind you, it's not very high peak pay, but it is at least pay. We'll see how long it lasts!
Yeah I was seeing a sharp drop then once I got that email they started dumping some excellent peak pay. We’ll see if it lasts
Evolution of Rideshare / How People Respond When Say I drive Uber/etc
2019 - You can get rich and quit your job?!
2022 - You can survive but Target pays $27 per hour with health benefits
2024 - It is very dangerous and don't you lose money after gas/etc. /make $10 per hour
2025 - I am homeless, live in my car but keep it clean for rideshare.
Literally when I started people were buying cars for rideshare and stories of 100k a year earners made the rounds. I did $50-$65 an hour easy on most every weekend
@@YourDriverMike The good ole days! The I can't believe its this easy days! Now its the bad days - the all or nothing days ..
They schedule these promos like they can predict the future. I never follow promos or chase hot spots. I just stick to a set schedule and make bank. I run strictly earn by time still and market specific it’s the only way to make good money here. Had a 24 hour peak pay of 4.50 per offer or 9 per hour and I ran a 15 hour shift and made $600! I was shook I couldn’t stop dashing lol I was going to go the rest of the day but got tired quick and called it a day. A third of my average weekly income made in one day. Easy.

@@parisbaxter4996 AI? How so? Cause I make more money than you? 😂💀🏎️💨
Does your earn by time kick you off if you reject more than 2 orders in a row, like end your dash because thats how it is in this market. Another youtube content creator got deactivated by DD as they accused him of manipulating earn by time, He's made 300 in shift by earn by time. The youtuber was called ''nuggs'' he makes super funny videos.
@@danguts2844 yes they will end your shift if you decline more than two in one hour.
No issue dashing that long? I know in the past the limit was 12 hours then you'd have to take a mandatory 6 hour break.
High peak pay brings out a lot of drivers and ends up being not worth it.
I haven't seen peak pay for a while but when I did and the pay was $2.50 for higher I made less money and got fewer orders sent to me
Do you think that's saturation or DD offering that peak pay on less lucrative days/times or both?
@YourDriverMike I think it is both. I dash 6 days a week for about 8 hrs a day and don't see it. I also look in the promos tab and it is always blank besides the air force base. I think there being so many people that there are never any orders sitting around anymore that they don't have to offer the peak pay. This is in Denver area
Got my email saying that Indianapolis is going to the new tiered system starting March 7. I'm anxious to see if I notice a difference...
What kind of numbers do you have for AR?
20%
Think doordash will ever put bonus pay in for just shop and deliver or just restaurants? Curious because I'm having one of those days with nonstop shopping orders. Area (abq) must be short on shoppers
I could definitely see them doing that, they want to tighten peak pay and offer less and have already started alcohol-only peak pay.
What level of busy was it before you started? Bright red or light pink?
Can't quite remember but I don't think it was the light pink, thinking it was the bright red
@@YourDriverMike Interesting. Bright red orders should be flowing. I also know markets are different. Thanks for replying.
I have been through this here in Orlando, ughhh 😒😤. Sitting in the hot spot and end up getting one order in the hour 😁
And I know there are probably a good amount of drivers also waiting in the area. Not necessarily bc of DD's hotspot it's just a good area to wait
First time I ever got $5 peak pay in my market with DoorDash. 2 orders in 1 1/2 hours. Only made $24.
What is your acceptance rate? Maybe DD is not giving you priority? That’s why you have to wait. Super high acceptance rate hear and never wait. Consistently getting the good offers too.
I just hit the text customer icon and send a pic to them of the food dropped off if they aren't available.
Are you clicking handed to customer to complete it? That's basically the only way to end it short of waiting for the timer right?
@@YourDriverMike "Handed directly to customer" is the other option under "Take photo". If I can take a photo and bounce, I prefer that. I'm talking about when the instructions are "Hand to recipient" and they aren't available or I don't feel like having contact. I take a pic and send that to them through chat. Then I just click "Complete delivery" and then the "Confirm" button.
Why do you think there's so much consistent peak pay lately?
Everyone is getting their tax returns. So more people are spending money. So it’s busier, that’s my theory. I don’t always stay in the hot spots. Sometimes I get more orders in my own local hot spots versus door dashes spots. I don’t feel you get as many orders sitting versus moving around with the area.
Ive found zones that dont have big orders, but have lots of small 5-8 dollar orders with in short distance, yeah you can make a couple hundred bucks that might take you 10-11hrs to achieve, but your mileage will be low. So thats a pro and con to some. Different strokes for different folks LOL....Seems each zone has different characteristics. But yeah seems you got it down and its working for ya, until the algorithem catches on to what your are doing and puts of wrench in it for marketing stratagies. I once found a crack in there zone where I got good orders that I couldnt reject and it brought my AR up to 65%, after 3.5 weeks it caught on to what I was doing and smashed my AR down to the 40s LOL.
@@danguts2844 wow got ya. That makes sense. DD gonna make there’s.
We suddenly got this constant $1 peak pay for no reason; my market was already slow on DD and this just made it worse. I had a trip to a nearby city around this time and I saw other markets also had this arbitrary $1 peak pay. I have no idea what they’re doing but they’re definitely not doing it to help dashers.
Facts!!! All facts
Thanks for watching!
There are markets near me that have $3 peak pay all the time. I know they can't be busy because they are super rural. It's simply to add a little money to not so many orders.
Do you think also to get more drivers out there?
@@YourDriverMike I think so, that makes sense also
I have noticed things slowing down. so, I just up my multi apping game up.
Definitely a must in 2024
If a hand it to me is unresponsive or takes to long I just leave it there snap a pic send it to em and leave. My time is money.
Is there a way to complete it without waiting for the full timer without clicking "handed to customer" bc you technically didn't?
@@YourDriverMike I go into the chat and send them a picture of the drop off and try my best to get the house number in view then save the pic just in case. After that I hit handed order to customer and complete delivery. I then send em a generic message I copy and paste and send to these customers “hey I just dropped off your order at your door and sent you a photo for your records, you selected hand it to me in checkout but you where unresponsive upon my arrival. I made sure your order was in a safe location before leaving. Have a great day”
Mine was 1 bag of cookies that was out of stock. I called the customer twice and texted a bunch of times before the customer answered the phone for a substitute
Very frustrating as you just have to wait or I guess say you couldn't complete the shop? I hear you
Every time you do a hand-off have the customer text you "RECEIVED". If not, you'll open yourself up to a possible contract violation.

Guys is red card actually worth for slow market area? Should i active red card?
Was nothing new to me because they always offer these PP but the prices are still the same nothing changed they give us the craziest per mile orders You have to be lucky to get orders that's worth driving for
I think luck is definitely a part of it, probably moreso now than 1-2 years ago
Didn't go out cuz too early for me, but opened up the dasher app this morning and saw +2.50 and +3.00 overlapping for an hour or so in Albuquerque
How long was the overlap that's huge. Usually if I see something big like that the overlap is basically not real aka 1 minute
Think it was about an hour, one was like 930 to 1100 other was maybe 1000 to 1130, all scheduled
Ps, when I logged on at 1100 it was a gray map lol
I just wanted to drop a note to say thank you. I popped on real quick to check you tube and yours seems to be the only channel dedicated to "hey, this is how it works, you can do this." Vs "I treat this like a play date and now I don't get easy money anymore, and now I'm afraid of getting deactivated. " it's so nice to see I'm not the only one who treats this as an actual profession (and let's face it one I can enjoy compared to the 2 decades I spent working my butt off in the restaurants that I go to now to drive their food to their customers)
Fri night we had $3.50 peak pay... I made good money $0 with doordash
Aldi is good except 1 cashier and 10 people in line
This was me this morning. $5 DoorDash peak pay and it took 23 minutes to get an offer.
Thanks for sharing, curious if I'll even see $3.50 again in the coming weeks
What's up with Uber lately I get bombarded with orders every time I try to take a picture at a customer's house and if it's an alcohol order where I have to scan the ID it's just so annoying
Moreso than any other app they love to daisy chain orders rightt as you're finishing your current assignment. Imo the UI needs a fix so it's not so distracting if they're gonna do that
I prefer shop and pay orders. Those have higher base pay.
This is what is happening here in California. An hour waiting for an offer
Which market? Is that even without peak pay?
One Sunday night it was $5 and $6 peak pay it was slammed
That's what I would assume, that's huge peak pay, definitely brings out the drivers.
@YourDriverMike no one knew about it. I talked to a bunch of drivers they knew nothing of it, more than half that money that night came from doordash. It was just a random Sunday night
Yep saturation is it
No..
All right what's your ratings and the rest of your stats are you totally 100% cherry picker
promo sm
Weak
Nope
