that is the truest and sadist thing iv read in awhile because, it is so true, but will never happen. people will always take the bad offers, even more now. if they cant keep enough money to do it after a couple weeks, they will just be replaced with a new dasher, and yes I do believe door dash has an endless amount of new drivers they can bring on whenever they want.

@7:45 Dashers should know after a 10 minute wait they can click store has issue, long wait time and unassign penalty-free in cases where it's going to take far too long. Don't get suckered into waiting forever if you don't think it's worth the pay.
Most the time the food is about to come out and you're going to have to wait for a new order anyways so might as well wait at that point. You're already there and spent 10 minutes on it?

They don’t always give you the unassigned free pass… but, I do get that a lot. I don’t think it’s worth it to pass once you’ve been there for ten minutes. In most instances.
I unassigned a pizza place when they told me the order didn't transfer from DD to their own system so they could start working on it. I flagged that issue with DD and could unassign without waiting and it didn't hurt my CR.
They're playing psycho games with people's lives. Time to stop dashing altogether. And not look back. Dash No more.
Yeah, I was questioning my sanity a few months back.
They have had the new program here in the Seattle area for a few months and they have basically forced me into taking low paying $3 runs to get into the platinum. So I can have the - now availability, if not, I'll be lucky to be able to schedule 2 hours a day. Scheduling has all but disappeared if you're not a platinum driver.
There are three different Dasher Rewards throughout the U.S.A. ; The dasher rewards number # 1 ; for platinum 70%, 4.7, 95%, 100 days/30 days. Dasher Rewards number # 2; for platinum; 80%, 4.8, 97%, 150 orders/30 days. Dasher Rewards. number #3 (New York and Seattle) ; for platinum level ;80%, 4.8, 97%, 200 orders /30 days, but in some areas where dasher rewards number #2 dropped, they cannot make a dash now even if they are platinum and they cannot even schedule, they have to go to top dasher zones or dasher rewards zones number #1 and if they are platinum you will be able to schedule for dasher rewards zones number #2. a difficult situation in some areas of California

If everyone is platinum, no one is platinum.
My AR is 18% made 243 dollars in 9 hours today. I schedule at midnight. Had 50 dollar shopping order a 42 dollar shopping order and a 27 dollar shopping order. Took around 3hours.
But keep taking crappy orders to keep your platinum.

Im at 9900 deliveries with dd
. UE im around 3500 deliveries.
I refuse to take $3 dollar orders for 5-6 miles. If its not $1.50 - 2 a mile . I'm not doing it. I'm not out here working for free.
I make most of my money shopping. I'd Rather do them. Less gas, less wear and tear.
The only reason this is happening is because it has been proven to improve DD bottom line. Plain and simple. This is causing dashers to take more orders and orders they would not normally take. If this was not the case DD would have stopped the pilot programs.
Almost zero scheduling available as of this week never an issue prior makes it easier to bowout altogether. No tears shed here have a better gig coming up.
Something new on the app just today... just above the hot spots is a “wait time”. During lunch rush it said 3-13minutes wait for an offer. When it was slow it went up as high as 7-17 minutes. Might be a cool new addition.

Got the same as well. 1-3 mins and I know I’ll get an order soon. Anything from 5-13 mins I don’t get much. AR is terrible too

I’m down near Pasadena… I just started getting those but it seems meaningless … I don’t see any advantage … but I’m probably not going to DoorDash much moving forward.

My market for platinum is a rolling 150 orders and although you should have Dash Now however you have to schedule and there is nothing available and not attainable

In my area (LA) the platinum tier rewards requirements are: 80% AR, 4.8 Customer rating, 97% completion rating, 150 deliveries/30 days
I’m in Colorado and my zone doesn’t have it yet thank God. No email yet. My zone was incredibly late to get a majority of pilots. It felt like we had it for awhile though because I went about 2 months with 0 LOP orders and somehow randomly got it back last weekend, not banking on having it for long again but it’s been nice.

well at least for Completion Rate doesn't it not affect your numbers if you wait 10 minutes and they give you the option to unassign with no penalties to your ratings if an order is taking too long ? or did they remove that once applying this pilot program nation wide ? (it only just got to me here recently for the program this may over here in Cali) requirements for me is 60/95/4.7 for Silver 80/97/4.8 for Gold and 80/97/4.8 150 for Platinum which is pretty steep for last one

I had to dash when I could because of my job and when I try to schedule they only have open availability at night. So now I have to find a new.

It is a struggle to get thw customer rating up. People dont want to rate people
They'll rate you a 1 or 2 if they're upset about something (whether your fault or not) but rarely will someone bother with a 4 or 5 because they can't be bothered with that.
IKR… I’ve gotten 2 five ratings recently, I don’t know why.
I DD in the Davidson NC area of NC I have a 4.96 CR my AR is 80% I have over 600 deliveries my on time is 96% and I am a platinum dasher I have over 150 deliveries in the last 30 days and I get $20+ offers for 6.8 miles. You gotta get out here and hustle can’t complain if you’re a lazy dasher. I’m not talking about anyone in particular but I do see dashers picking up pizza orders with no pizza bag. Think would you be happy with cold pizza from a random person. Hell no! Get a hot bag a catering bag and a pizza bag and watch how much more money you make. I’m not saying be a slave but sometimes you have to take a “charity” offer so that your AR goes up. Can’t have a cherry 🍒 taste but a crabapple budget.
You said that one’s return per mile ought to be between $1.75-$2.50/mile…is that miles from the store to the delivery location one way ?…and does that factor in the return miles to the store?
I actually haven't dashed for years bc the business model is setup to benefit them and not the drivers. I recently signed up again but still haven't. I've been doing Spark and it's been cool

Most of the fast food places are hiring, and you can make more money net. It's more stable, no expenses, and you are driving your car into fast depreciation.
We just got it here in Houston amd I went from platinum to silver in a matter of minutes - (68% AR) I had to take multiple 2$ and 3$ order for the whole day (making 36$ in 4 hours ) in order to go straight to platinum again- now I need to take a few crappy orders to stay platinum- now I definitely pay attention to my AR

If I dont have the minimum silver then I can’t even schedule, literally I can’t at all! Unless I go 3 hours away from my house to dash, im not doing that, they call this dash rewards when its not, they should call this dasher requirements to not get fucked

I searched up and down that list of new markets that Dasher Rewards is available in, and there’s not a single market in Colorado that I could spot. Really disappointing :/
In my experience, the dash anytime perk is completely useless IF you know how the scheduling system works. I can literally control my schedule without any perks.
I'm in a smaller city in Colorado, but it's not in my marketplace yet, thank goodness.
I just had a thought after doing this since the order up days before door dash. the old owners used to give the best orders to the drivers they liked, but and this is true for the rewards program as well, unless there making the customers wait, wich would be messed up.. if all the platinum and gold siler dashers are busy on a low paying order. and the cherry picker is sitting avaliable waiting, and a good paying order comes in they used to still have to offer the good order to the cherry picker because he was avaliable and the others weren't and they cant make the customers food cold by not trying to dispatch the order. so I hope, we can still cherry pick in a busy market.
To unassigned without pay on long wait times, I’ve noticed, if you wait for about five minutes, you can click the question mark In the top right and of the screen and select unassigned without pay. it doesn’t always affect completion rate and it will tell you if it does or not
I have an area near me where this was implemented. I have delivered from my zone into that zone and the app changes immediately. Frustrating to say the least.
That is what I am learning Dasher Rewards started in my market (Baltimore, MD) on May 7th but I earned top dasher for May because I had 265 orders completed in April now on May 23rd I am at 155 deliveries in the last 30 days
My AR went down below 50%, had an issue needed to contact support. Never was able to connect to agent. The only option was worry free unassign.
At *most*, but not all restaurants, if I've been waiting more than 10 minutes, they give me the option to unassign the order *without* penalty to my completion rate. You also can contact support for exceptions such as the one you describe involving a 25 minute wait. Sometimes if you contact support you can even get reimbursed for arriving at the merchant.
I am having a really hard time getting back to AR 70. I am at AR 63 very very slow climb. If i decline i drop fast. I dont understand why they made it so hard to climb back up. I do EBT.
You can unassign if it is the restaurants fault without worry. Most times, you just say they didn't get the order or didn't receive it till you arrived, and you can unassign without your completion rate being affected. Also, if you wait at least 10 minutes, you can unassign without worry as well, regardless if the app notifies you.
I'm in a market that was part of the first expansion from the original 3 (fyi, that happened ay the beginning of September, not October, not that it really matters) and the gold level CR is still 90%.
I've been frozen out from actually being able to start for weeks unless I either drove over 50 miles away to start or scheduled a short shift 3 days out. I noticed all of the sudden I could go online today.
So if you doordash during winter can you say you are Dashing through the snow?

SoCal AR is 60%silver 80%gold/platinum.
great example of that milage, I see orders going to the next town over but it is a 15 mile drive there one way with nothing but field around the town, door dash showing 15 miles for 20$ but when i did the google maps, to get back to my town or a town that has orders is another 15 miles, so really the order was 30 miles !! yikes. no way.

I dash in southwest NJ for almost a full year now. My acceptance rate typically hovers between 10 and 20% and I've always scheduled shifts 6 days in advance at 3PM each day for 11am to 8pm shifts. But, now I need silver status (50% AR) to do this. I'm considering trying earn-by-time now to get up to 50% AR, but that means I'll have to deliver to some dangerous areas and pay $5 to cross the bridge for Philadelphia orders. Trying to figure out the best way to increase my AR to get silver status without taking a lot of trash orders and still be profitable. Tough situation
Also, yes, I used to get minimum of 3 catering orders per week, which gave me on average $100 extra per week on top of regular orders. Now, I don't get them at all

Wouldnt say it was nationwide.....a lot of the markets still missing. Most notably for me, my market is not on this list
Dash now being gone absolutely killed it for me in my area. The schedule hasn’t even pop up to schedule for the last week… I finally caved into trying ubering people around and I actually enjoyed it more than I thought. So I guess I’ll be doing that now since DoorDash isn’t even an option even though I’ve been top dasher for 3 years

If you wait about ten minutes doordash will allow you to unassign with no penalty as long as you are at the restaurant for x number of minutes. Better off just hanging there until you receive that message prompt to unassign so your completion rate isn't affected.
Not true for all areas. I can only unassign penalty free if I have double stacked orders and only one of them.
You have to mark the order as not started and 10 minutes later you can unassign without penalty
If you dont immediately pull over to wait for next trip u need 2.75 minimum and thats gonna be to hardly enough to save up for a replacement vehicle.

I just did a dash tonight and don't have the new tier rewards yet. In Arkansas. Checked the full list and my city is not on it. But the small towns around me are on the list.

I’m in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It started here recently, so you’ll probably have it soon. They’ll send you an email stating the start date. I’m not even close to 50% AR, so the only difference I see is that’s it’s harder to schedule…well that plus I’m seeing more non tip offers than ever.

Not here yet, this is a small Texas town. A few smaller towns around here have it. I've heard some areas still don't have the Diamond program, here's hoping some areas won't ever see Rewards.

As a full time dasher for almost 4 years, being able to dash now is a priority. In order to keep a 70% AR you have to accept some bad with the good, as long as you accept more good than bad, you'll be ok.
Agree completely I have to be able tondash now. I work a full time job and never know what a schedule will be to deliver
I accept nearly everything. Over 300 deliveries per month. I think creating more full time dashers is the goal. Not some dummy trying to make a quick $20 bucks that doesn't care about the customer.

Dasher rewards are definitely not worth it. I cherry pick with a 35% acceptance rate in Lubbock Texas and make about 150 a day
I can't understand how DD is supposed to be 57% of the market. I retired at 3.69 a gal none of the offers seemed to get me in the car East of Columbus Ohio. I made good money when I first signed up for DD then after about 6 weeks it was all downhill. not to sure why they spoil the new drivers.

This is basically door dash telling us that after this program takes over we ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DECLINE OR UNASSIGN ORDERS anymore, EVER.

I was a top dasher doing 15-17 dashes a day now since may 7 it's this new rewards and I'm a platinum dasher now but now my offers when from $7 at the Lowest and as high as $45 to $2 and $16 at the highest and the app keeps crashing and locking on me then I have to spend 30mins on support to fix it making my day from a consistent $100 to maybe $50 it whint for awesome to you have to do this to keep your benefits but we not going to give you the tools to do it not liking the new program
Every time the app crashes on me I just turn my phone off then back on again, after that everything works fine
In the New Jersey area we just got the new rewards. I’ve been dashing since February I only dash Friday nights and Saturday and Sunday mornings. I have over 500 deliveries. I get dash now all the time no problem. We the new rewards I just got the the catering option but they keep saying my bags aren’t regulated even when I say it’s a catering bag that I order from them smh. But overall DD is ok. The only thing that piss me off is when I get an order for example McDonald’s going 7 miles and I’m like there two McDonald’s closer to that customers house why am I getting it where I’m at.
Because that's where YOUR located.. they could care less about that part of it. Seen this dozens of times.
They gave me platinum dasher for a week for free and reset all my ratings for that zone. My hometown zone still doesn’t have it so my ratings are completely different, it’s like a whole different app and job when I go up to the city with platinum. It’s trash though. Very upset with it but it’s my full time job and I still make good money it’s just way weird now.
I would like to know how you are top Dasher and Platinum. I was deactivated at the same time I was activated as Platinum. I had a 98% and all %s were higher than the platinum acceptance. I'm also in Minniapolis MN
Platinum isn't really vip to support nor is the pay much better than any other. Like ai said week 2 into it I was Deactivated. I complained to much I think. I was under the knife after having a 700$ week 2 times almost 800. I figured out what to do to make 7-8 every 5 days. I'm getting close on Uner but there's is different as you know.

Yeah, and unfortunately we lose out like always. We have the normal reasons for cancellation plus all the ebike specific ones like the groceries end up being too heavy, the customer address isn't safe to get to, etc.

Colorado is working on legislation at the moment, which is probably why they didn't add any of those cities. The Instacart rep in Seattle said they had just agreed to 60 seconds for their acceptance timer there--it was the first I had heard of a bill. Perhaps their bill will exempt them from these "incentive" programs like Seattle's (current) law does.

Wish I'd seen this video this morning. Unassigned an order and fell below 95%. It will take me forever to get back to 95% now.
In my market I honestly can not get dash now (Platinum) anymore as once you lose it you need to schedule. The market is so saturated that you can’t get but an hour during peak times most days of the week. To get that hundred orders as been at best challenging but now seems close to impossible if I want to make any kind of money.

They are gonna have to come up with a standard for the whole country and everyone
They can't because they don't want to pay drivers better and do to some areas forcing it by law there just no way they could unless they basically paid everyone like they do in higher paid areas that they are forced to pay in. They will.go down kicking a screaming before they would ever do that.
Haven’t read the comments, but if you’re waiting more than 7-10 minutes you have the option to unassign w/o affecting your CR

Man how are you not platinum. Platinum is where it's at. At least in my market my earnings have doubled. I hit platinum now I rarely even have to deny any orders anyway my ar went to almost 80%.
I wouldn't say I've doubled but I no longer make trips to areas that don't pay well UNLESS they pay well. Then I pause my dash and return to my favorite zone.

So if you get Platinum all that is happening is that i get dash anytime...your still gonna get access to high paying orders ( remember 4 dollars for 1 mile is a high paying order)....If you were a top dasher before you probably gonna qualify Platinum if you keep same strategy
