I appreciate that you appreciate that kind of commentary from me xD It seems my knowledge of the RE series' gameplay is valued, and that means a lot to me!
I haven't watched your RE3 videos because maybe i am going to buy it soon. I never played Resident Evil so far , is it worth it to buy and play? And with which part should i start ? Btw i really like your content since i found your channel threw Uncharted 2 xD. Keep it up :)
Hey there! I'm glad you've stuck around for so long! Our last session playing U2 before its closing was really fun, I didn't forget. I definitely recommend playing Resident Evil, but an ideal starting point is extremely difficult to choose. Although the series is mainly horror, each game has a unique personality of its own, so much so that your personal tastes in gaming will really determine which ones you like most. Personally, I think the RE2 Remake (on PS4, came our last year) is a wonderful place to start if you're interested in the RE3 Remake. It's cheap, does a great job of introducing you to the world of RE, and also introduces you to the same mechanics RE3 uses. It also does a great job of introducing you to the classic key tenants of Resident Evil, those being item management, map memorization, and flight-or-fight decision making, with a modern control layout. If you're more into action-oriented gameplay, Resident Evils 4, 5, or 6 are also good places to start, although 4 is the best option between those; it's the least complicated and also doesn't require much story knowledge to enjoy. Each of these games are on the PS4 for $20 or so, and both 5 and 6 offer full two-player co-op for the whole game. If you're able, you may also be able to play the older games (1, 2, 3, 0, Code Veronica, or the remake of 1). These use the older style "tank controls" and fixed camera layout. They're very scary and sometimes pretty darn hard, but are excellent at teaching you item management and are overall very memorable experiences. The PS1 games are available on PS3. The RE1 remake and RE0 were remastered for PS4, and you can buy them separate or together in a bundle. Definitely wouldn't recommend Code Veronica as a starting point. Try YouTubing some gameplay of each one and see which one may look the most appealing to you! The Resident Evil series has a lot to offer and is, in my opinion, one of the gaming franchises that still has a heart of gold. It's my favorite series of all time. Sorry to be so long-winded. I'm very passionate about this series and always want to share everything I can, recommendations and all :) Hope you enjoy the playthrough when/if you eventually watch it!
This game looks very cool its funny when you ramble about the original its cool to know more backstory about it.
