Microlocs are great! It's just your preference. If I would've done a little more research, I probably would have got microlocs. I've had several cousins get microlocs in the past year. They look great!!

I have fine low density microlocs and it will thicken up. I’m 11 months in. I have several videos about it at this point on my channel. I’m so excited that Elle is showcasing fine low density sisterlocks as well.
