Ich finde wenn man die Serie nicht 1:1 mit dem Film und dem Buch vergleicht, sondern sie stattdessen einfach als Neuerzählung wertet, ist sie eigentlich nicht schlecht. Man muss nicht immer direkt auf alles pissen was neu ist 😅
What the hell where they thinking when they made this show?! At least do some proper reasearch. Why all this glamour? They all were children, some of them from broke disfunctional families in West Berlin, while Babsi was from a wealthy family. This looks like an YSL ad. So unrealistic. Please watch the original movie, it's great.
Yup, it really did. I don't know, I just don't think that it realy captured the ralistick darkness of the actual life the kids lived, that is described in the book.
For me it was also weird because meanwhile Stella looks like she is taking drugs for long time and she is really addicted. Christiane looks like she hasn't been taking drugs for that long, and babsi looks and acts like she have never even had any type of drug before.
Idk, it just overall seems so fake in some aspects. In the book Christiana talks about how all of them are realy addicted, they can't even go for one day without the drug, they are skinny because they don't eat almost at all. They smell, she even described that when her clothes or her bag (where she carried her drugs) tore in some places, she didn't even cared at all. It was as if at some point they literary stopped caring about anything except the drug. They were literary a group of kids looking homeless and working as prostitutes. From this cene it seem like they all have time to dress up and go to somebody's funeral. Which Christiana also said in the book, where she explained that Axel didn't even have any funeral. He just died, and no one cared. Because again nothing except the drug was really important to them at this point, a.d they didn't feel the need to put effort and time of theyr day, who is already dead.
I think that that is the darkness the show didn't realy describe . They made it seem like from aesthetic cool and kind of dark television series. The book is so good because it is so scary and raw. It doesn't try to hide or make anything more interesting or entertaining . Christiane even said that for like a one entire year there wasn't even one thing that would be actually interesting. She would make money as prostitute, buy drugs, feel good for moment, before she went to bed take heroin again, fall asleep, went to school and after that quickly ran outside so she could make some money again.
They say it's more faithful to the book but it is not. There are situations, like this one, which never existed in actual facts. Besides of it..the context and characters are totally unreal and ruin the spirit of book. Looks like more Cyberpunk / Matrix than Christiane F. lol
cause the book is too much dark , so the producer decides to re arrange it , why not , in my opinion no one teenagers must be confront to death is anomaly. I ve read the book in my teenage (the school want it) and what has always shocked me is the indifference of these wankers in the face of death, nothing seemed to reach them.they see "friend" died , they continue to shhot their sickly bodies, theirs parents was didn't suspect anything, in short, a brothel worthy of hell if that's what being young sells yourself to take shit.

cause i suppose christiane to add things and omitted others, the proof in a 1995 report her former "friends" said that she had taken the cover for herself,but i think the book is rough so why not a serie tv with another point of view..
@@Piotr-t2cRight, because when you make something for today's teenagers, you have to romanticize drug use and play it down by making it look glamourous, no matter if it's unrealistic, and disrespecting real events 😂 And if you show the dark, dirty and realistic side of drugs and of real events, it's only interesting for 60 year old women for whatever reason, seems about right 😅🤦♀️
Have you read the book? It's not just a story. It's a real life experience. Full of pain, hopelessness, cramps, disgust and child prostitution. This has nothing to do with what really happened.
Fest steht, dass die definitiv niemals auf der Beerdigung von irgendwem waren. Die haben laut Christiane den Tod von ihren Freunden zwar betroffen zur Kenntnis genommen, aber dann quasi verdrängt und weiter gedrückt.

Daher dass es eine Autobiographie ist, finde ich es etwas respektlos sich nicht an die wahre Begebenheit zu halten
