Made in Japan Hybrid II is a series that incorporates almighty modern specs, while maintaining the vintage look. The Made in Japan, which has many fans around the world, has realised a product that combines playability and tone that fits any guitarist and bassist regardless of rhythm/lead.
The Hybrid II Stratocaster features an Alder body with a newly-designed Hybrid II Custom Voiced Single Coil pickups and a 2-Point Synchronised Tremolo with Vintage-Style Stamped Steel Saddles. Vintage locking tuners, a Modern "C" shape with a satin finish neck, a 9.5-inch radius fingerboard and narrow tall frets provide smooth playability.

There is no Truss Rod Cover, its just a hole to put the Allen Key in.

Thats not why Fender shut down for those few WEEKS. They were sold to the current owners, but o ly the designs, not the manufacturing plant so they had to build the factory in CA. It has NOTHING to do with how they were being made.
Hybrid 1 seems a better option.
